Superdasher Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I've attempted to recreate several real-life roller coasters in RCT3, and I thought I'd share their Intensity Ratings with you. Note, though, that these are according to my best attempts at recreation, and they may or may not be entirely accurate for the real version. * = I've been on Batman The Ride: 8.12* Boomerang: 7.47* Deja Vu: 8.68 Dueling Dragons Fire: 7.91* Dueling Dragons Ice: 8.02* Goliath: 10.23* Hydra The Revenge: 6.82* Magnum XL-200: 6.48* Mr. Freeze: 10.01 Montu: 8.20* Nitro: 5.89* Python (BGT): 6.29* Raptor: 7.84* Superman The Escape: 7.97 Superman Ultimate Flight: 2.85 (?)* Talon: 7.19* Wild Mouse (Dorney Park): 4.26* X: 10.63 o_O Xcelerator: 9.53* X-Flight: 3.83 (???)* Tell me what you guys think and if you have any other recreations and their Intensity Ratings, you can also post them here.
coasterdude5 Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Cool! I'm not surprised by Goliath at all! About the flying coasters, I've noticed that too, I've built massive fliers and all three ratings have been below 4. Maybe the patch for Wild! will fix that.
CoasterPeep7 Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Wild! doesn't fix that at all! The reason is mostly because of the way the RCT layout is. The banking is so sharp and the drops can't be that much smooth. Also, it's a videogame. Lastly, try doing that recreations on NL... that will be soo much better. I tried recreating The Hulk at IOA and I got an intensity of 7.79 and I did ride it. Very intense ride! I wish I had NL. - CoasterPeep7  -
Superdasher Posted December 21, 2005 Author Posted December 21, 2005 ^ I have NL. But the editor for NL is SOOO hard to use you wouldn't believe, I've just given up on trying and used RCT3 for building recreations. I prefer NL for the "POV simulation", because the rides look so much better, there are more track options, and the pre-created coasters such as United-Spacelines and Monstrum Awakens are REALLY fun to ride. BTW, Hulk was my first coaster with inversions and it was AWESOME! The first time I rode, when I saw myself in the Hulk On-ride photo I was a little uneasy looking, but the second time I rode I was like, "YEAAAAAAHHH!!!" That figure you have sounds about right though...In case you were wondering, Dueling Dragons IS, IMO, more intense than Hulk. I like Dragons better because of the awesome theming and dueling, but Hulk gets top nods too!
CoasterPeep7 Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 ^So I take it that Nitro isn't intense? I want NL for Christmas if I can get it!
coaster_type_of_person Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Where can you get no-limits?
DATman Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 ^google it, go to their site, and download it.
benzo41190 Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 In RCT you cant customly bank and slope like in real life. You only have 1-2 ways to slope and you would be creating alot of force. In real life, you can slope it gradually so there isnt much force. Its not the re-creations.......its the limitations on RCT.
Superdasher Posted January 19, 2006 Author Posted January 19, 2006 So I take it that Nitro isn't intense? The first few drops on Nitro are pretty intense, and there's a lot of airtime ( ) but the G-forces, to me, felt pretty low, which is probably why it didn't get a higher rating.
coasterlover420 Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Like I said in previous posts, they should merge the NL track designer with RCT. Then you would have the ultimate Roller Coaster experience!
