The opening of Lotte World Theme Park, located in the Osiria Tourist Complex in Gijang-gun, Busan, has been postponed to March next year. Lotte World decided to postpone it for six months because the installation of overseas rides was delayed in the aftermath of Corona 19 and the content needs to be strengthened.

Hotel Lotte Lotte World announced on the 25th that it would postpone the opening of 'Lotte World Adventure Busan', a tourist complex in Osiria, Gijang-gun, Busan to March next year . The opening was postponed from May of this year to the end of this month, but as it was delayed by another six months, the opening this year became impossible.

Even if it was not about the spread of Corona 19 and delays in the installation of rides, it was difficult to open at the end of this month in the first place. On the 23rd of last month , Lotte World applied for 'Lotte World Adventure Busan building use approval' to the Gijang-gun Office, but it has not yet received the construction permit.

An official from the Creative Architecture Division of the Gijang-gun Office said, “There are many related departments and institutions, so the completion can only be processed after comprehensive opinions are reflected.

Lotte World Adventure Busan is considered a key facility in the theme park area of the Osiria Tourist Complex, which is about 500,000 square meters. With Skyline Luge , which opened in July of this year, expectations are rising that it will attract a large number of people from all over the country.

However, concerns are raised that the traffic congestion in the Gijang-gun area will worsen if the Osiria tourism complex is activated in earnest.

Park map has been released or at least shown up on the Korean theme park enthusiast message board. In case people comment on how few rides there are, (I think 11 total: Power Splash, Blue Fire clone, kiddie coaster, giant discovery ride, splash ride, cow themed merry go round, chairswings, set of frog hoppers, farmyard bumper cars, small children spinning ride, swan dumbo like ride) see my comments on the previous page about how Lotte would probably rather you aren't in the park all day. In a nutshell, quite often an entertainment park is part of the deal of getting permission to build your complex, and in this case the premium outlet, shopping mall and cinema are all owned by.... Lotte.

That Luge Attraction looks kind of awesome, and I'm surprised there's not one of those in Gatlinburg by now lol.

^ I know I've mentioned it numerous times in this thread already about how many there are, but between each Lotte World update it seems a new Luge park, zip line or alpine coaster opens somewhere in Korea. I was just at a mountain area with a 250m slide down the mountain and an alpine coaster. Sadly missed out on both because they make you do a training course before riding the alpine coaster and sign waivers and I wasn't prepared to wait hours for the next slot.

That and I was 1kg too heavy with shoes on for the slide because I always forget some places in Asia carry 90kg or even 80kg limit for things. It sucks because the weight limit was 2kg lighter when we arrived than advertised online but I have no-one to blame but myself because I've lived in Asia long enough to know the limits are very low here but kept keeping my weight way too close to the maximum line.

Well if there's a weight limit involved might as well forget about it for Gatlinburg.......

^Luge and alpine coasters seem to be most forgiving. My issue is my son can't ride alone so the weight limit is for both of us on one car. Most Luge's here run a limit of 120kg per car. Some luge and alpine coasters are 100kg though combined. 90kg is more for some zip-lines and water park slides. I remember some parks in China had 80kg limits for some bigger roller-coasters in their Lotte World knock-off park.

The main website has gone live confirming an opening date of 31st of March: https://adventurebusan.lotteworld.com/kor/main/index.do Soft opening will be from 17th-20th and 24th March looking at the attractions opening schedule but it seems the flume ride isn't ready yet.

16 attractions in total although one of those is a playground and another is a talking tree so 14 rides for the park, most of which are aimed at younger audiences. A one day ticket is 47,000 won (around $38) and the park will sell skip the line tickets: 15,000 to skip 2 lines or 27,000 to skip 4.

 

There are 3 big rides for the park, the Mack Blue Fire clone and Power Splash and the Zamperla pendulum, named: Giant Digger, Giant Splash, and Giant Swing. It does seem on brand considering the sisters parks bigger rides are: Gyro Swing, Gyro Spin, and Gyro Drop.
