robbalvey Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 ^ Never said you were trying to start one. But I know how these things can get going quickly. And it wasn't just your post. I've seen a few others that were borderline....like I said "borderline." --Robb "Wasn't casting stones at anyone" Alvey
BiCoastal Kid Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 There is a large diffreence in how many Christians believe, don't just listen to the loud mouths I realize that. It may be that I'm from a very religious section of the country, but from my experience many Christians do cast off some theories and/or opinions simply on the grounds that it goes against their beliefs. While I can understand that, I still think it's wrong because I think everybody should be able to accept the possibility that they *may* be wrong. I don't believe in a god, but since there is no hard evidence supporting nor denying one's existence I can admit that I may be wrong and that there may be one. On the flip side, many of the Christians I know of won't even give that thought the light of day, that even though they believe in a god, and there's nothing wrong with that, that there is the possibility that they *could* be wrong. It's not just belief in a god, but other areas like evolution, homosexuality, creation/bigbang type stuff, etc. I have no problem with religion at all, many of friends are religious and I don't mind, but in my opinion, it's one thing to have a belief, and it's another thing to state that belief as fact without sufficient evidence to back it up. That's all I was saying. -Rock "No flame, just opinion" 8)
FlyingScooter Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 To some, faith is fact. i know if i hit my head against a table, it will hurt. However, Bam Maggera might hit his head against a table because it's fun. The beauty of it all is: Free Will. you can believe what you want, when you want for however long you want. I'm right, you're right. no sweat. Religion is like a divorce. There doesn't have to be one side right and the other wrong. Both sides can be right, largely because it's personal to each, with feelings and thoughts of their own. There's plenty of people out there who are not open to others ideas/beliefs, and to that i say, god bless 'em. At least they make a stand about them. Anyone here seen any of the Left Behind movies?- just curious.
crispy Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 yeah, but DDR is fun, and the bands they chose are OK, so it should be pretty fun
BiCoastal Kid Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 ^^If it's remixes of those bands... maybe, but I've not seen a rock song translate to DDR without being somewhat awkward. :?
crispy Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I generally don't like remixes, but you are right, DDR kinda requires dance music
