They're talking about it on Fox News right now. It's probably not that bad...

At 4am there was a tornado warning near me in Winter Haven. They said it was moving towards "Cypress Gardens airport." Not sure what airport they're talking about. CG doesn't have one of it's own. Hopefully CG didn't sustain anymore damage.

I'm sure it couldn't have been that bad of damage. I was really worried when this was a Category 5, but luckily it weakened a good amount. I just hope it is nothing big and everything will be fine with the parks.

Yeah, I'd like to hear the REAL story from someone other than the "Media"

I got some IMs from people who are still in Orlando today and they said the storm that rolled through wasn't very bad. A couple of downed trees, maybe some small signs, but when they IMed me at noon Florida time, it had pretty much all passed.

Did they say exactly what damage was sustained?

They didn't really go into detail, so I'm guess that means there wasn't very much. Looks like mostly superficial type stuff (garbage cans knocked over and such) and some possible water damage.

Funny how the Animal Kingdom shot shows one of the lanes open. Gee, it'd suck to be a Disney employee and have to work in a frickin hurricane!

I know, right? The weather hasnt been to bad at all in the Orlando area. Its been a little windy, but the worst of the rain stopped early this morning. Id like to see this 'destruction' first hand.

Robb,

Its Fox News, do you expect any less?? Their whole business is sensationlism and they seem to do a pretty good job of demonizing everything and everyone they think is a threat.

I talked to my friends in O-Town....they stated it blew through, knocked over a few trees, rained and that was it. nothing major.
