The Angry Darren Mullins Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 January 19, 2017: Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village I went to Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village today. This park is located near the exact center of Taiwan. the park showcases the different minorities of Taiwan. There are about a dozen or so amusement rides here. There are three roller coasters. Space Mountain is a Vekoma ride that is located in an indoor area with several other rides. Only the loading station has any space themeing. The rest of the ride is in total darkness. It is a fun ride. It became coaster #1043 for me to ride. Up next was Caribbean Splash(coaster #1044). This ride is similar to one located at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in China, but the flume section on this one is shorter. There is also a boat ride called Jurassic Cruise here. It is basically the same ride system as It's A Small World, but it has dinosaurs instead of people from all over the world. It ends on a sour note. The ride has educational value as each dinosaur display lists facts about the dinosaur in the display. I wanted to ride Maya Adventure, a Vekoma SLC, but it was closed today. In all, it is a nice park. It has a decent ride package, which can entertain all members of the family. The only downside is the 1 hour and 45 minute bus ride from the city to get there. Today I will make my first visit to Formosa Aboriginal Culture Village. About half of the rides here are located in this building. I love how this carousel is lit up. This ride is It's A Small World with Dinosaurs. Here is one of the dinos you will find inside. This is an indoor coaster here. The theme ends here. The ride is in the dark. Only the station has a space theme. It was nice to see a western made pirate ship ride. UFO is the drop tower here. A Mack water coaster called Caribbean Splash is here. This ride is shorter than the one at Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, although the coaster sections are the same. This ride was closed today. I really like these even if they are a little bit rough.
PKI Jizzman Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I was wondering why the name of the park sounded familiar.. The knock off Space Mountain haha! Thanks for posting.
SharkTums Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I remember thinking this park was slightly above average when it comes to small Taiwanese parks. There was a decent arcade in the Space Mountain rip off building.
