SpectralN Posted October 22, 2005 Author Posted October 22, 2005 Are you serious about this "Cutting" the track to get a vally'ed train back to station. That seems like it would be a very serious operation. I do not see why they would not just take the train apart and put it back together.
4718 Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Well, that's what they did last time. I would think that it's because of the different design of the trains, and how they ride on four rails instead of two. Either way they'd do it, I think it's a major operation.
SpectralN Posted October 22, 2005 Author Posted October 22, 2005 Well considering the last time X vallied was 3 weeks ago, if it vallied again on testing then it will probably take another 3 weeks to get it back up.
ShoubraStreet74 Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Ahhhhhhh! :o I hope nothing bad happens to X in long run because of this constant valleying since I never had the opprotunity to ride it.
4718 Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Found out they had to cut the track this last time, that's just what they've gotta do every time because it's darn near impossible to drag it out any other way.
SpectralN Posted October 24, 2005 Author Posted October 24, 2005 I saw the cranes out there today attached to the coaster train dragging up then down a hill, takes a long time. I could not imagine them removing that track, but if each section is bolted then perhaps unbolting the track and removing a section with the crane is easier then dragging it through the entire track. This is insane!

This is insane! I'm not sure exactly how much of the track they have to cut, but would imagine that it'd be enough to slide each set of wheels out of, then weld it back up. I too saw the crane dragging the train around yesterday, no idea if they got it done by now.
