Snowyowl1028 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I am not really sure how to look at this topic but I realized wicked twister is over 10 feet taller than Alpengeist so it is actually the world's tallest coaster that goes "under the track." Does this mean CP has the tallest invert?
LiftThrill Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Pretty sure Alpengeist's record was "tallest full-circuit inverted coaster"
thrillseeker4552 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 And keep in mind that not every rider on WT goes that high. If you're sitting the middle, you don't go that high on either end. IMO, Alpengeist is the tallest invert. But I can see how it's debatable.
GCI Wooden Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Pretty sure Alpengeist's record was "tallest full-circuit inverted coaster" Yeah, same with how Top Thrill Dragster was the first full circuit coaster to go over 400 feet. Also, as thrillseeker4552 mentioned, not everyone gets up to the very top of the tower. And I don't think that they launch the train all the way to the top of the spike, so no one actually reaches the 215 feet. It doesn't matter how high the riders go to make it the tallest, though, it's how high the coaster is to make it count. You are correct in saying that Wicked Twister is the tallest inverted coaster, but Alpengeist is the tallest full sircuit coaster.
