Roller Coaster Nicknames

Hey people! Here's the first thread I'd like to share with you guys concerning roller coasters. I would like to know what nicknames you guys would have for various roller coasters (or maybe any other amusement ride you can think of, but mainly roller coasters).

 

Well, here is a list I'd like to share with all of you.

Some of you may have seen this list. Some of you have not. Some of you may have heard of some of these nicknames and often use (or used) them. But to those of you that never heard of some of these nicknames, I'm sure you'll get a kick out of them!

 

By watching a couple of your videos, I now understand why some enthusiasts gave the nicknames to a few particular coasters. For example:

 

Here's a video of Robb and the gang riding the "Manhattan Express" (now simply just "Roller Coaster") in Las Vegas.

 

From watching this video, I now know why some enthusiasts dubbed the ride "Manhurtin Neckpress"! And one enthusiast on there refers to it as the "Street Mugging Simulator", as you come off the ride with a lot less money and a lot MORE pain!

 

I've never ridden it before. So I wouldn't yet know.

 

Another video is the one of Robb riding "Windjammer" at KBF (Knott's Berry Farm).

 

Just from seeing how shaky the video was, the sound of the cars rolling along the track and hearing Robb's "Ugh!" at the end,

I now know why some enthusiasts nicknamed the ride with names such as, "Neckjammer", "Head Slammer", "Brainbanger etc.

 

But anyway, I would really like to have your own nicknames for the different roller coaster out there (or any other amusement rides). I'm sure plenty of you have a variety of your own.

1. I take it the name "Draggin Fire is said in reference to "Draggin Iron" (for Cedar Point's Arrow suspended coaster), as it too goes pretty slow!

 

2. I got a real laugh out of your nickname for CW's Flight Deck! Of course, we have the "Generic" nicknames for these Vekoma SLC's (Hang n Bangs)!

 

3. I agree with your nickname for tilt a whirls. I avoid such rides, as they do nothing but make me SICK!!!

I think I've got another good one!

 

This is for the now defunct coaster Fujin Raijin II at the now closed Expoland park in Suita, Japan.

 

Robb Alvey already gives it the nickname of "TOGO Death Machine II". But for Robb's case in this video, I nickname it the "Mighty TOGO Nut Buster" or "Robb Alvey's Nut Buster"!

 

I hope Robb finds no offense in this.
