GrapesLie
So while my main passion are Roller Coasters I do have other interests. However these other interests are just as nerdy! I Love finding and restoring Antique/vintage electric fans! I collect and sell them. So I decided to start uploading my work into this post for the few who might find it interesting. Enjoy BEFORE: This is a Super Lectric Fan. It was manufactured in Cape Girardeau, MO in the 50's It was actually in fairly good condition when I found it. I love the cage on this fan! Luckily Not the most difficult project I've done. AFTER: Seeing Red? While this model never actually came in red I do think it suits it well! The motor is now fully functional. Runs and oscillates perfectly! This beauty should run now for another 60 years!

larrygator
Do you have a webcam we can follow? Very interesting, I love seeing restorations but don't do any myself. Although I do have an old fan like this sitting somewhere in my mom's house.

cal1br3tto
Not saying I'm a fan fan, but I do like the cage on that. Do you sell them? I could see those in my local antique malls. By the way, I think fans are slightly terrifying. But that's neither here nor there.
Nrthwnd
Wow, that was so impressive to get hit with, LOL! I am in awe, man. Excellent hobby you have there. And I love RED, so that was a Big PLUS in my books, heh.
rayenglish
Hoping to get in touch with grapeslie! I'm a fellow vintage fan restorer, and I'm doing a fan similar to your SuperLectric. I actually chose to use the same color paint as you did with your project. My question is: what did you use around the base of the fan? Thank you. I would really appreciate you getting back to me!
