jedimaster1227 Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 (edited) WhiteWater has sent us a press release about their latest exciting project! Paradise Island Waterpark sits in the centre of Chengdu’s all-new, enormous 1.7 million square metre New Century Global Centre. Featuring a massive artificial beach and a giant LED screen reflecting spectacular, ever-changing ocean views, the waterpark offers an ORIGINAL array of innovative WhiteWater attractions designed for enjoyment by guests of all ages and abilities. Among WhiteWater attractions providing thrills, shrieks, and squeals are an elaborately themed AquaPlay™ structure offering splashy interactive fun for all, a towering, heart-pumping WhiteWater Abyss™, and a Family Raft Ride. Guests can also test their surfing skills on a FlowRider® Double and experience breathtaking drops, speed and splashes on a variety of Waterslides including an AquaLoop™ and a Whizzard™. When approached to design and furnish the waterpark attractions for this world record breaking, 18 story glass and steel building, WhiteWater sought to deliver a complete waterpark experience – on a grand scale fitting this mega structure. “We are very honored and pleased to be part of this project, another world’s first for WhiteWater!”, commented WhiteWater President & CEO, Geoff Chutter. Jew Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 (edited) Now that's how you do an indoor water park! Love that it is a fullsize water park instead of a smaller scale water park crammed into a building, which is what you usually see from indoor water parks. Edited August 5, 2013 by Jew
gisco Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 That has to be one huge building. Being indoors they should have good business all year long.
A.J. Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 A Sky Trail course! Awesome! Also, that's the first time that I've seen half of an octopus racing slide before. Weird.
_koppen Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 Whitewater Abyss And that Aquacourse looks amazing, and so does the play structure. I really wonder what the final price tag for that building is.
