The Angry Darren Mullins
Today I visited Jingcai Happy World in the city of Yangzhou. It is in Jiangsu province in China. This is the city's newest park and has many rides, including a looping coaster. Although most of the rides are standard Chinese amusement park fare, the park had a nice entrance gate and most rides were either new or well-maintained. I took several photos and rode some rides. This park is located next to a large shopping mall and makes for a fun outing. I hope you enjoy the photos. I have now ridden 827 coasters at 353 amusement parks. One thing I included a photo of was the restroom sign. What the hell is a smoorter? I have arrived at Jingcai Happy World. I had to go to the restroom and instead went to a smoorter. Here is the station for Happy World's powered coaster. It is a dragon themed powered coaster. There is a double decker carousel here. The flume enters splashdown. Many parks in Asia have large Ferris wheels. This kiddie swing ride is at Happy World. The haunted house is a walk-through. There are many midway games here at Jingcai Happy World. The first of five shots of the coaster to finish off the TR. One shot of the coaster taken from the midway. The corkscrew element is rough. The lift seems to reach the sky. The last photo to end the TR. Edited July 16, 2013 by The Angry Darren Mullins
simon8899
Even if I normally do like to do water rides I've noticed that in Chinese parks the water often looks so murky I wouldn't ride it out of fear to catch some fungus or skin rash. Can't somebody clean it? Or aren't there some health rules in place? I assume a log-flume like that would be closed here right away. Â On a lighter note the coaster looks like a unique Arrow knock-off variant with the long helix before the loop.
The Angry Darren Mullins
I do not think there are any regulations for cleaning the water in the flume rides here. Some Chinese parks can be pretty dismal, but others can be very clean.
simon8899
I just checked my pictures and the water of the log-flume at Vienna Prater also looked quite dubious - but I also skipped it. The rafting ride there was quite clean though...
kailisun98
The only clean flume pond/ splashdown boat pond is the flume at Jinjiang Action Park and Happy Valley Shanghai.
RoCo
That is one unique looking coaster. Reminds me a little of those Pinfari loopers, but I've never seen one with a corkscrew... funky. Did you try out the walk-through? Â I'd write more but I need to go take a smoort.
gisco
So I googled smoorter to see what there intent was and the 4th entry on the list is this trip report.
The Angry Darren Mullins
I didn't bother with the walk through as most of theme here are not very good. By not very good, I mean they aren't even cheesy.
