Geauga Dog Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 We'd probably see one of these Chance hyper-lites before we see an Intamin mega-lite in the U.S. Adventureland in Iowa would be a nice park for one of these even though Worlds of Fun is just down the road with a larger coaster.
christianscoasters Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 I believe that Chance was probably close to building a hyper lite when Wild West World was open. Remember that park in 2007 just north of Wichita that was open for two months then went bankrupt? They had a sign outside of the park in front of the gates saying they were going to get a 200' drop tower for the 2008 season followed by a woodie in 2009 (clone of Thunderbird at PowerPark), but then there were talks of getting a mini-hyper instead, kind of like Steel Eel, which was going to run along the east side of the park. Considering the Chance Morgan factory is about a 10-15 minute drive from where Wild West World was, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Chance had this concept ready to go for the park. Shipping costs would be much cheaper since it would only have a few miles to travel.
