cfc
Looks like all the driving around was worth it just for the sandwich.
larrygator
You didn't go get the indoor Mack credit in Quebec City, or did you already have that one? I didn't have enough time to make it up there. Too bad about Sauble's coasters not being running. Their website still lists Looping Star as "Now Open" and says nothing at all about them not running. Based on the looks of the place I'm not surprised they don't have an updated website. At least one other person at Leviathan Bash also made the mistake of driving to Sauble Beach that weekend. It's definitely a legit credit, if you, or anyone ever ends up out there. Very reasonably priced indoor park in the mall.
larrygator
^Agree about the price for the park, but I couldn't swing the additional 6 hour drive and $60 extra for gas. I didn't even have time to try to squeeze in the ridiculously over priced Granby Zoo.
Coastinmiller
Blue Mtn was packed when we there as well, might have been the same day. It was the day before the bash right? It was an Elvis festival. We waited around 20-30 minutes also. Did you noticed the unmarked credit along rt 26 going back to Canada's wonderland? It was at Blue Mtn go karts. Sounds like we were there the same day I was there around 2PM, I saw no Elvises. I went from Blue Mountain to Sauble Beach (reverse route as you it appears) so did not see a credit, nor recall Blue Mountain go-karts.
sspaz1000
Great TR Larry. Yep, La Ronde sounds exactly how I felt about it last year on the Northeast trip.
Splash_Mountain
That platform for shooting the bumper boats riders actually looks like it may have been one of those 'water whip' type rides like the Aquazone ones at Legoland. Anyone know? Initially I thought it was an uncompleted water whip, but the amount of water between the platform and the land appears to be too narrow for the vehicles. Not sure if this next picture will help convey that better. Maybe the channel was enclosed I little after the bumper boats were added. I did not even notice the second possible water whip structure in the background until just now. I saw this and as the TPR guru of Calaway I thought I'd input. The bumper boats were there long before the actual addition of the platform to spray riders. They added it a few years ago when they did the expansion, they also had to replace the older boats and they added ones with water guns on them.
