aslinterpreter
Hello everyone! We will have a layover in HK on our way back to the US from Thailand. I would like to take my family to Disney for a short time. Our plane arrives at 3pm, and leaves the next morning at 11. I know that Disney usually closes at 8pm, but we would still like to visit, even if it is just for a few hours. My question is about where to stay. The Disney hotels are way over my price range, especially coming from Thailand where $300 a night gets you the best room in the country. Is there another hotel close by that would work??? Also, what is the best form of transportation from the airport to the hotels near the park? Any other advise about visiting the park is welcome as well. Thanks in advance for the help. Ryne23s
The best way to get from the Hong Kong airport to Hong Kong Disneyland is via taxi...you will need to take a BLUE taxi (RED queue up for days and only want to take you into the city - GREEN can only go to the New Territories). It will cost about HK$150 and take about 15 minutes. Unfortuantely, there are not any other hotels near the Resort. My suggestion would be to book a 1-night stay at the Hollywood Hotel. nemesis-storm
There are plenty of hotels close by to Hong Kong's airport. The park is easily reachable by Metro (MTR) by changing at "Sunny Bay" Here is a helpful website showing a map. I have stayed here at the Novotel Hong Kong Citygate. It's very close to the airport and well connected to the MTR Hope that helps
SharkTums
I would bite the bullet and stay by Disney. If you really can't swing it, stay by the airport. The metro system is awesome in Hong Kong and even though it's two changes from the Airport to/From Disney, it's very close and very easy.
