MrMorgan Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) Hey Disney fans! We will be doing Disney for a week in November and I'm trying to come up with a new "concept" for some videos for my youtube channel. There are already tons of "guide" and "showcase" videos, so I thought I would try something new: Secrets and Scandals? The only problem is, even though I was a CM in the MK in '95, I can't think of many! If you are a CM or a Disney expert and can think of interesting things I can report about that the G.P. would never expect or be surprised to know about, please post your ideas here! For instance, I was thinking of showing how the show building of the Haunted Mansion is all underground behind the actual "house". I just need more things like that, and especially for the other 3 parks, (AK, Epcot, and Studios). I am grateful for any ideas! Edited September 25, 2011 by ernierocker
RAWKIN_coaster38 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I'm not sure if this is what you mean by secrets and scandals, but I've heard that lots of people drop their relative's ashes in the Haunted Mansion ride, and that they have to close it at least once a year to clean all of it out.
A.J. Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I wouldn't call your video series "secrets and scandals" because that really makes things sound negative. I'd call it "behind the scenes" or "behind the magic" or something similar. It's a neat idea though, because there are plenty of people who would be interested in that sort of thing - especially students. As for actual content, I wish I could give you some ideas, but I'm a big fan of "protecting and preserving the magic" as I'm still a cast member at Magic Kingdom.
ANJLOVER14 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Well, if it's anything like Mouse Tales (Same author, but about Disneyland), this should give some nice info about stories and secrets. Just be prepared for some Eisner-Disney hate. Amazon LINK
larrygator Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I heard something about an effort to save the animatronic hippos, but that might be at Disneyland.
palmerleeberry Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 Okay, you want t a secret, here's one: When you visit the Magic Kingdom in Orlando Florida and enter the park, you are actually on the second floor. Below you is a netwoork of tunnels and wide passageways in which the cast members can go to and fro from their places without crossing other worlds and getting in the way of the visitors. This was all mentioned on the show "Modern Marvels". Here's another one, although it's mostly a fact: What is the fastest ride at the Magic Kingdom? (Remember, only at the Magic Kingdom park and not at any other park) Is it Space Mountain, the Autobahn, Thunder Mountain Railroad, or Splash Mountain? No, it's none of the above. It's actually the Monorail that the visitors ride to enter and exit the park (40 mph) "Either please get off and lay your head upon me, or I'll type out some secrets about you it'll make you ... Bye ya! "Works every time!"
