CP_RULES
RIDE RELEASED PAGE 2 Meet Pulse, a GCI inspired (read: similar to a GCI, not mimicking their style exactly) woodie. The idea was to have a ride that was taller and faster than your average GCI, giving a more TGG style experience but staying within realistic length (and thus, price) limits. All lateral supports were created by me. Stats: Height - 143ft Length - 3003ft Top Speed - 62mph Since I have been working on this project for sooooooo long, it has taken me a while to start a page for this ride. See previous updates in the preview thread here and here. My hope is to finish the entrance plaza in the near future and release the track and a video of the ride for those without NL. All thematic elements of the ride are created using supports, not 3ds. coastercrazy 9
Very nice, except that drop looks kind of awkward.
A.J.
That drop looks maliciously steep. Also, I prefer your term "Bat Shiz Crazy". It looks like no wooden coaster I have ever seen, which in my opinion is fantastic.
CP_RULES
Ah yes, the drop is a tad steep for a wooden coaster, but nothing more extreme than what has already been built. I failed to mention that this ride was made using Newton 2 and the original drop was something I thought I was going to be using for a megalyte. I've always enjoyed designing woodies more, though, so Pulse was born. Here's some rough math to estimate the drop angle
AJClarke0912
lol, Love the on-screen math. If you were true nerd though, you'd use a derivative to calculate the slope at its steepest point and you'd then figure out the degrees. But I guess you don't know the function so nevermind. But still, that would have been awesome lol. It looks pretty unique I suppose...not sure how it rides but it's definitely different and it seems to have solid trackwork. coasterfreak101
It rides very well. Can't wait to see this released finally! It's been long enough.

Oh, and the ride looks good too! I'm especially impressed by the custom supports!
CP_RULES
Most of the progress currently being made is very hard to show in pictures, so here have a video!
AJClarke0912
Looks to be quite good! I'm interested to see how the trackwork stacks up...it looks to be of solid build quality.
XYZ
I would like to see a POV of this coaster.
CP_RULES
PULSE IS RELEASED! You can get the track right here in this post, in the game exchange and at NoLimits-Exchange. Please, please, please rate this track on NoLimits-Exchange if you can! A POV will be posted shortly for those without NL. Ride description: Meet Pulse, a GCI inspired woodie. (READ: similar to a GCI, not mimicking their style exactly!) The idea was to have a ride that was taller and faster than your average GCI, giving a more TGG style experience but staying within realistic length (and thus, price) limits. The drop is a tad steep for a wooden coaster at 75 degrees, but nothing more extreme than what has already been built. Prepare yourself for laterals, airtime, and an all out crazy ride. Stats: Height - 143ft Length - 3003ft Top Speed - 62mph Drop - 75degrees The ride was created in Newton 2 and I worked very long and hard on the supports. All lateral supports were created by me. The station and entrance plaza is all made out of supports. Feel free to fly around the ride in the simulator and check out all that was done, I think this ride is beautiful. Note: There are two trims near the end of the course, these are to compensate for the different coefficient of friction on woodies for calculations in Newton 2.
