BkkMan13 Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I just want to say firsthand that this is MY FIRST real trip report ever, my first would have been of my Kings Island and Cedar Point trip but I had forgotten my camera on that big trip and could only took bad pictures with a couple disposable cameras (I might post those pics anyway though) but the point I'm trying to make is that you shouldn't expect anything incredible. But back on topic! So yesterday my girlfriend and I got to go to Elitches for Coldwell Bank's annual rent out of the park (her mom works for them). The park was actually only open from 4 to 10, but due to the lack of lines it wasn't any real problem. The weather was also pretty okay for the day as well until it started raining around 9. But who is actually reading this anyway? Lets get to the pictures! Duly noted.. I will steal your money and eat your babies!!! The other, other white meat!!! First off, my favorite coaster in the park, Sidewinder! Even if the station is really ghetto, I really like it! I don't know why though... And since hardly anyone was in line at the time they let riders have some ERT if they wanted. Here's the area where The Flying Coaster used to be, from Sidewinder's station. But... Are these new footers? (Seriously I can't tell ) And does anyone know what these cars and machines may be for? Such as these? And this? Another pic of Sidewinder before we move on... The Tower of Doom, one of my favorite free-fall towers I've ever been on. I actually got stuck on the ride for about 5 minutes while it was at the top of the tower due to high winds. While the kids next to me got freaked out I just sang some Avenged Sevenfold songs to myself. It was fun! FIRE!!! Next was Halfpipe, the giant "U", and it was my girlfriend's first time on it. She liked it, because everyone loves Intamin! And giant snowboards! I didn't get any pictures for Twister II, because honestly I just hate that coaster. No good G's no airtime no anything, all it is is really freakin bumpy. But I rode it to make the GF happy, and stumbled upon something curious near the parks crapyard. Any speculations on what exactly this is? The Yard o' Crap also had gallows! To hang the non-believers! After being disappointed by Twister II, as usual, we decided to head over to the Boomerang. Boomerangs may be kinda painful and the most un-rare coaster of all time, but they have damn good photo ops! See? Le Loop Le Other Loop The ride ops we're really cool too, and the main one even did impressions! One of them being a really good Charlie Sheen... Duh winning! Next was the Concussion Maker! I mean Mind Eraser! I've been on Mind Eraser before and I know about its painful legacy, but every time I come to Elitches, I just have to ride it! I have no idea why! I think it's because I'm trying to figure out how to ride it without breaking your neck (it's probably impossible). Or for the great photo opportunities... Ghost Blasters! But whats this in the professors pocket? Yes, toothbrushes! Why? Who knows! Who cares! After this we pretty much made did the same thing again around the park, but with a few more flat rides included. It got windy and rainy pretty quick as well, and everything was actually shut down by 9. But overall, it was a pretty good trip I would say! Sorry for the lack of pictures (We did a lot more on this visit, like flat rides and other activities, that I didn't bother to take pics of) I actually didn't plan on making a TR of this, and my camera had hardly any battery left after all the pictures I took so I guess I probably couldn't have taken many more pictures anyway. So in all technicality, this is more like, only half of a TR . But I guess it is what it is, I'll make sure to get photos of everything next time! But before I finish this post, I shall give you... One of the most epic pictures I have ever taken! And PLEASE give me comments and such! I want to make sure my next TR doesn't suck
jedimaster1227 Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 And does anyone know what these cars and machines may be for? Aquatrax. Thanks for sharing this good report with us!

MayTheGForceBeWithYou Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Nice TR! I'm really hoping Herschend gives this park the attention and upkeep it so desperately needs.
BkkMan13 Posted August 23, 2011 Author Posted August 23, 2011 Nice TR! I'm really hoping Herschend gives this park the attention and upkeep it so desperately needs. It needs SO much attention! The other parks are already pretty well off and somewhat renowned, why cant my hometown park be renowned too???
andyuk200523 Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Nice TR, These are portable generator lighting Must be for doing night works on rides, or they keep them for halloween events.
gisco Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 The footers are what is left of The Flying Coaster. Nice little park that can be done in a half day if not too crowded.
BkkMan13 Posted August 25, 2011 Author Posted August 25, 2011 That's kind of disappointing, any possibility the same footers could be used for a new ride?
BkkMan13 Posted September 5, 2011 Author Posted September 5, 2011 Like maybe, for a new Zamperla ride like a Motocoaster or something?
