Godwyn
On the first day of the 2007 TPR Midwest trip, we were given travel pillows. Well someone (not going to name names) swiped my wife’s pillow. So she started to use this stuffed "jellyfish" that we won at Holiday World with our skeeball tickets. So everyday Jellyfish was packed to take on the bus to be used as a pillow. Ever since then he has gone on every vacation we take, and this year, he finally made it back home. This is our (his) adventure back home. We headed out on the Thursday before the event to make the 5 hour drive there. But on the way, we picked up John (Hang and Bang) in St. Louis, and did some geocaching on the way(which I forgot to take some pictures of). Before we left, we made sure we had all the essentials. Here is Jelly making sure that the GPS is set up correctly to pick up John in St. Louis. So far so good! I-55 POV!!! Don't you just hate it when they start stacking the cars. We literally sat here for 10 minutes without moving. I took over driving so I wasn't able to take many pictures, so fast forward to here. We made it to Santa Claus! Here is John and Jelly making the nice list. And here is Chris and I making the naughty list. While we were here geocaching, we paid our respects to the Fat Man. We stayed at Lake Rudolph Campgrounds and this was our site number. Couldn't have had a better number! And across from the campgrounds is awesomeness! And finally, we made it to our home for the next couple of days. This was the view out of our bedroom window. Of course, being that this is Santa Claus, it's decorated for Christmas. Jelly was hungry and was making something to eat. He had a little problem. That has to hurt. We headed up to the camp store to buy some firewood, so Jelly had to stay behind. John really knows how to handle wienies. Exclusive Wienie POV!! Chris gives wienies a thumbs up. Smores time! Exclusive marshmallow POV!!! As you can see, one of the marshmallows didn't make it out of the fire. John was not happy about that. But second times a charm! Marshmallow guts... ... makes John happy. And then the sugar rush hit and we headed to the playground. The picture isn't blurry, it just John swinging really fast cause of the sugar! John trying to go down the slide. Wasn't really working for him. Sliding fail. John's much better at working the pole. A little Dino love and then it was off to bed. Big day tomorrow! Hang And Bang
Forget ERT! The kiddie playground takeover was the REAL highlight of HoliWood Nites 2011! Seriously though, can't wait to see the rest!
Chrisrad
That's the Holiday World campground, right? If so, I've stayed there - beautiful place. I look forward to seeing more pictures!

Hang And Bang
^^ If you do HoliWood Nights next year, lemme know! And there are more shenanigans to come! I don't know if there is photographic evidence but there was a hilariously OTT near-death experience at the water park one day involving Bakuli (or the Death Slide, as I now call it). But hey, I lived! Yay!
Godwyn
Chrisrad -- Yes, it's right across the lake. We really liked it and are planning on staying there again next year. Jojo -- I'd say that we are about 99% sure that we will be going back next year. And Max is wanting to go also. He was supposed to go this year but his sister was graduating on that Saturday. Robb -- It was great till other kids started showing up. I had my laptop out there on a bench and didn't want it to get stolen, so we left shortly after they showed up. But we still had a good 20 minute takeover! John -- Sadly I don't have pictures of the "Bakuli Incident". But it was funny as hell!
Godwyn
So after much wait, I give you the second part of our Holiwood Nights trip. And the fact that I better get this done before we head out to Silver Dollar City next week. Expect that report sometime around New Year's. YAY We made it! And once here, you have to visit Santa! And this is where it began. These were the skeeball games where we won Jelly. And of course Jelly had to get a picture taken with Pat! Jelly gives respect to the "Everyday Heros" Here is our itinerary for the next two days. And while we were here, we won Jelly a new friend. Jelly, meet Bunny! The height check station was closed, so Jelly had to assume the "You don't see me ride position". And this would be the position John is pointing to Bakuli. This is where John almost died. Must admit, it was funny as hell!!! Since we made fun of John about him almost getting killed, he made us ride the train. And not just ride it, but get in the car that doubled as an oven! Here is Little Red Riding Hood about the get eaten by the Wolf. And I don't even want to know what Jack is doing! It's photo walkback time! Jelly loves walkbacks! And apparently John does too!?! Exclusive wood shot! Whoosh! Getting artistic. Nerds! Stay tuned for the next installment that begins with a very exclusive shot of Legend! Godwyn
Sorry for the delay. Had some computer/email problems, so I kind of forgot about my trip report. So here is the rest of it! So as promised, here is that very exclusive shot of legend, IN THE TUNNEL!!! (I swear, its in there) Nerds! 90.... oh forget it. Yet another picture of John taking a picture of himself. Pothole has been patched! Ha, more nerds. This Voyage even has a plank to walk! Huh uh... bolts.... huh uh huh. Jelly really enjoyed seeing the park from this angle, as he is usually stuffed into a pocket back here. TAKE THE TUNNEL... oh wait, wrong coaster. Even as rough as it was, John still enjoyed his ride. (front row) They got wet. It was Dan's birthday, so they got him a cake. With his Mom in it! Acer. Nuff said. Waiting for the park to clear out for ERT! It was a long day, so Jelly had to soak up some sugar to make it through the ERT. They also had these huge cupcakes back by Voyage for everyone. Who doesn't love some scrambler night ERT. They had this thing run for what seemed forever! One last ride on Raven for the event. We ended up marathoning Raven for about the last hour of the nite! Its always Christmas time at Holiday World! Since the event poster was themed to E.T., we all got a small bag of Reese Pieces as we left! Can't wait till Holiwood Nights 2012!
