QueerRudie
Hello, and welcome to TPR. A few things you should note before posting: Read the Games Forum Posting Rules HERE In addition, you should be uploading your files, etc. to the Games Exchange- a feature that TPR has. It's easy, it's fast, and it can be done within your post: Click on the tab marked "Game Exchange" below here- it's marked, and follow the instructions to uploading your file. I look forward to seeing new stuff in the future. R.D. Games Forum Moderating Team
B.A.B
Wow! For an newbie on TPR this is maybe the best RCT3 project that I have seen yet. Keep up the great work.
jordy_rym
@QueerRudie I never upload file's as an attachment because I want to now how many downloads it has. And I hate calculating these things. So mediafire helps alot with this job. @B.A.B. I'm a newbie to this forum but I'm already playing RCT3 for many years. But I just started using CSO etc. a year and half ago. QueerRudie
I think you're missing our point here: We setup the exchange ourselves (That is, Matt, Robb, A.J., D.J. and myself) to make it MUCH easier for our TPR users to download things- and there's nothing easier on the market- nothing- than ours for keeping tabs on things. Krypt
As creator of his own custom content, only he has a say in whether wants his content uploaded here or not, not you. You shouldn't be trying to force him to do anything. "In addition, you should be uploading your files, etc. to the Games Exchange" Since when should he be uploading it to this site and why should he? It is not necessary that he upload it to this site. His content, his right. Following the mediafire links provided are just as easy. You still click a download button don't you? Jordy chooses mediafire. Let it go... Haha great to see you here Jordy.
mcjaco
^ You know what irks me? Guys with 38 posts telling me how to run the Forum. I read QR's post as you should upload it to the Game Exchange, as it's easier to do. Not you have to upload it. Context is everything. Jordy's reasoning was that he wanted a down load count, which the GE provides. No one is forcing anyone to use the Exchange, but we're trying to make it the most complete database for game files out there. Excuse us if we want to bend a few arms to get people to use it. I spent over two months populating the Exchange by myself. That's a s*^%ton of work, I'd appreciate a little "yeah you should use it, it's awesome" from some of the users here. Not the typical holier than thou attitude. Jordy chooses mediafire. Let it go... It was. You brought it up again. Let it go. As jordy said, let's get back on topic. robbalvey
^ You know what irks me? Guys with 38 posts telling me how to run the Forum. Me too. Hey Krypt, if you don't like how we run our forum.... LEAVE! Not joking. Go away, don't come back, don't let the internet door smack your ass on the way out. Otherwise, don't give us s**t on how we run our shop. Got it? Good! If Jordy wants to use MediaFire to promote his work, that's fine. But we also wouldn't be doing our jobs if we didn't make an attempt to promote our own Game Exchange as well. Giving crap to the people who run the forum and do a hell of a job keeping things in check isn't going to earn you anything but disrespect around here. Carry on now.... I did just noticed that Jordy is under the 50 post requirement for links, and he's posted links to other websites. Look, while I appreciate that the guys work looks good, I also believe that if you're going to post something to TPR with the sole purpose of driving traffic to another site, without giving ANYTHING back to TPR in return, well, that's just not cool with me. If you want to promote your stuff, and link to other sites, then you better be willing to at least post *something* to our exchange as well. I don't think that's asking too much, and I don't think I'm being unfair. We aren't a charity case for people to leech users to their websites. Understood? jordy_rym
I did just noticed that Jordy is under the 50 post requirement for links, and he's posted links to other websites. WTF! This rule sucks... It's propably meant to get some upload's on your exchange... If a forum acts like this that means it will lose members, and because of this rule and the other just stupid rules, I actualy don't feel welcome. I'm new to this forum but not to RCT3 and other forums, I now where a forum is about and what reaches the limit. And these **** rules do reach the limit. If you want to keep a forum rolling you will have to get normal rules and actualy make them more like guidelines. I have expirience the the creation of site's and I now what brings people to it. But if you are acting like this... But please people, now get this conversation over to PM's!

I may be wrong, but the reason I think that rule is in place is because we don't want members that are active on other sites, and then just pop over from time to time and draw traffic to their site, and away from TPR. I think you'll find reaching 50 posts is very easy, and takes maybe a week... Just post pictures of your work, comment on other people's, and post in some of the other forums... You'll reach 50 posts in no time! -SCC

You have to understand that we've put a lot of work into this Exchange, and for someone to pop in, post a link to somewhere else (even if it's mediafire), is kind of a slap in tha face. We're offering you everything mediafire does for file hosting, plus a community that's second to none (thanks to the participants here). I'm going to lock this as it's going nowhere now. Jordy, feel free to PM me, and we'll work on getting your stuff properly up and running here. If you want.
