coastermaniac
Typically how busy are the exclusive ride time nights at Cedar Point? I'm interested in going to the Millennium Force ERT on Thursday, May 26th. Even though I've had a Platinum Pass for the past two years I've never gone to one of the ERT nights. If you've gone in previous years, how busy does it typically get and is it even worth going?
Dietcokevan
I haven't been to the night ERT. But probably would have if there wasn't a tornado watch on the night the ERT was. But assuming that the night ERT was like the morning ERT you should give it a try! Its not as good as TPR ERT (of course!) but its something. We did Raptor, Iron Dragon, and Millennium Force in about 50 minutes during the morning ERT. But that was with hotel guests there.
Astrojack
In 2009 I did TTD ERT at night and got on the ride 7 times in that hour. A few people got a lot more rides since they kept running and were single riders. By the end of the night they let us walk up the handicap ramp instead of walking all the way around. I also did a Maverik ERT in 2009 but only rode it 3 times because of sun burn on my shoulders. It was a station wait the whole hour. Â Milllenium Force ERT last year was on a Friday. The line was pretty much a station wait during the day. And the night ERT extended past the unload station a few times. I still got to ride it 5 times in the hour. Â I plan to attend MF's ERT this year since it is a fun perk and always have a good time.
coasterlover420
Hey, any time you are offered ERT, it's totally worth it! Especially if it's Millennium Force.
xVicesAndVirtues
Never did the night ERT, but I had some really awesome Millennium Force/Maverick marathoning during morning ERT. How can that get better? Oh, Raptor is included too!
coastermaniac
Hey, any time you are offered ERT, it's totally worth it! Especially if it's Millennium Force. Â Well I live 80 miles away from Cedar Point. So to stay at the park for that long after park closing and then have to drive an hour and a half home, it better be worth staying for! RedB
How exclusive the ERT really is can be a crap shoot. Some nights I've gotten 10 rides in an hour, some nites 3. However, the May ride night usually is less crowded than the rest and MF chews through riders like an acer through a buffet. I say go.
coastermaniac
^ I was thinking that on a Thursday in May, it shouldn't be too crowded.
coasterlover420
Well, imo, even if it's a little crowded, that's 2-3 more times you could ride Millennium Force as opposed to 0.
coastermaniac
Yeah that's true; I'm just thinking if it's worth it knowing that I have a long drive home afterward.
RedB
You really don't have that long of a drive. Just go and enjoy.
coasterbill
An hour and a half drive is nothing... my commute is an hour. If you're going to be thinking about that the whole time then you probably won't enjoy it to be honest.. but if you can stop worrying about the relatively short drive and have fun then you should go for it.
