Not that I want to promote site rivalry and claims that 1 coaster site is better than the rest out there but I now don't feel so bad that I'm no longer active on those sites and found my home here. Sure, some of them were a dedicated coaster exchange but that's all it really is (to me anyway). I'm fine with our exchange here. I know there's a lot of good coaster sites out there but the more hate I see towards TPR, the more I see that they're jealous that they can't be as awesome as TPR is (such as providing cool videos, updates, giveaways, and gear. Pretty sad to see other coaster sites defaming TPR while if we have anything to say, but we don't step to that low...but more of giving the site a mysterious 'censored' name like "Too Fat to Ride" (which I think I found the site by the way, that I used to frequently visit before really sticking to TPR). I've had (not a real serious) one moment a while back (I believe it was when one of the riders were ejected from S:ROS and I attempted to be funny and say "Intamin Kills" only to have my post removed and Robb PM me that I shouldn't really posting remarks like that as some of the Intamin guys read the site and really don't need that showing up on here, they really didn't need any false accusations/assumptions. No, I didn't get all hissy and go on a TPR hate rampage from that minor correction. I moved on and learned from there.

I can see it in the distant future: Coaster Site Gangs! Some of us may be flashing TPR hand signs while others are flashing their respective sites while on our trips. "Who you rep? I rep TPR yo!"

What turned me onto TPR initially wasn't for all of the coaster updates. As much as I liked looking at the pictures, the silly humor was the real reason why I got even more interested in checking out the site. Today, this is why I like watching Wipeout so much...they have a different sense of humor and poke fun at their contestants. In the end, it's all in fun! Back to TPR, once the forums were launched, I was completely ready to sign up for an account. Really, the unique sense of humor on here's nothing to get all butt-hurt about and cry over. As others stated, if you're going to cry over the humor on here (and not from laughter) then you should stuff yourself in a dark closet and never leave.

One more FYI for everyone - if you are trying to add me as a friend on FaceBook, and I may not know your real name, but I may know you through TPR, write me a message explaining who you are with your friend request.

Basically, I've had about 200 friend requests I have denied because if I don't know who you are, and you don't tell me who you are, I will deny the request.

I enjoy TPR because there are no Assholes here.

I have to disagree. With no a$$holes, there'd be a lack of sarcasm on these boards that would disappoint me. The difference is you can be an a$$hole without being necessarily mean-spirited. And even if it is, it can still be funny.

I'm still getting friend requests from people that I don't know and don't write anything tell me who they are. Seriously, if you're not a name I recognize, I'm going to click "deny." Please remember that I don't know everyone's first and last names. So please send me a message telling me who you are. And even then, no guarantees that I will add you, and please do not get offended if I don't!

So I've been out the TPR loop for a while and I must have missed this on FB.

All I have to say is LOL!!!! Seriously, some people just need to get a grip. I haven't read the thread in question but I get the jist, it's official, the world is full of stupid people. (TPR members excluded)

Sorry you had to take such extreme action Robb but good for you in taking the higher ground and not rising to the stupidness. I just want to say I have been a TPR member for almost 6 years (since I was 18!!) I've grown up with this site. It's humour and quirkiness has kept me coming back and actually helped me get over a fear of coasters. I may not be part of Robb & Elissa's close group of friends, hell, I've not even met them personally but I respect what they do and the service they provide. I hope that one day I will have the pleasure of meeting them and I'll be at the bar with another beer to say thanks.
