Dotrobot Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 (edited) I've started on a new park and it's a pretty small map but I wish to make it bigger later. (some screens were already shown) COMMENTS ON THE LAYOUT!!!!! Just a mini arrow layout i came up with. SUPPORTER WANTED! NEED TO SUPPORT ARROW WITH DIAGONAL LIFT SCR112.BMP SCR113.BMP SCR114.BMP SCR115.BMP SCR116.BMP Edited December 4, 2010 by Dotrobot
MeMeMe Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 It's probably too late now, but your map is a bit badly sized. It looks like you will just have a bunch of empty space behind the Arrow. Might I suggest pushing it back or putting a parking-lot? The layout is cool, but I hate screenshots where the diagonal lift is shown head-on. Amazing work though, much better than I could do.
Dotrobot Posted December 4, 2010 Author Posted December 4, 2010 At some point. I'll get somebody who can WinHack the map bigger for me without actually erasing the rides on Nedesigns.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 You know, if you wanted too. You could keep the map the size it is now, and sumbit it as a design/group design or whatever it is (that is if you get help with supports). If you did this, you would need to rework that layout though.
PSiRockin Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 The layout is okay, I like where you're going. But, the turn after the loops is awkward, and the helix is blocky-looking. I do like the map's size and the archy though. Very good start.
Dotrobot Posted December 4, 2010 Author Posted December 4, 2010 I've decided to make this a small park because it requires a lower point then a design accolade. Anyway. New layout, a parking lot. Fences and a new interior ride. Soon To Come: Custom Flats, Enterprise, Intamin Drop Tower, and another entrance for the new parking lot, new buildings, custom supported kid woodie, carnival games, and a Boardwalk! This is a very different atmosphere than anything I've created so far. I love it and I can't stop working so smoothly. Anyway new screens! SUPPORTER STILL NEEDED SCR118.BMP SCR119.BMP SCR121.BMP SCR120.BMP SCR122.BMP SCR117.BMP
PSiRockin Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Nice, much better. Why are there paths next to the que though? Anyways, much better layout, and the only bad thing is the bunny hop before the brakes looks kinds strange. But WOW , this is insanely good. Nice archy and varied paths (I do love the varied paths).
Dotrobot Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 I did the supports myself . So be proud of me.
B.A.B Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 It looks like B&M supporting, but I know that the Drachen Fire had that kind of supporting, but I like it.
SoCalCoasters Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Just a suggestion, but I think you should ditch the little airtime hill right before the brakes, it make the brakes look un-naturally short. Also, I think you should run a three train block system for higher capacity. All and all, it looks good so far! It may just be me, but I feel that this park needs a boomerang, probably because of it's limited space.
jjune4991 Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 ^ I don't know if it needs the three train. It looks like a small enough layout to not need more than two. Great layout btw. Also, great supports Dotro.

Dotrobot Posted December 11, 2010 Author Posted December 11, 2010 As you can see. Very very unfinished. SCR126.BMP
Coupon Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 Nice picture, feels like I have seen it before
GrabowskiEnterprises Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Wow, I have to say wow, that arrow may be the best I've seen for a RCT2 park. Keep up the good work dotro. Brian Grabowski, CEO of Grabowski Enterprises
Dotrobot Posted March 26, 2011 Author Posted March 26, 2011 Whaaaaaaaaaat? Dotrobot is building again? SCR136.BMP SCR138.BMP SCR134.BMP SCR133.BMP SCR130.BMP
djbrcace1234 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Been missing you around here. Still nice as always. However, the Woodie just seems forced in. Height alone can fix that issue.
CoasterCreator9 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Hm.. how? Add some height and have it run around the batwing of the arrow. Just what I think would look nice. By th way, if you still want some supporting help, I would be glad to help!
the ghost Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 It reminds me of something like wooden warrior... I assume thats what you were trying to go for, right? I like it, but it does seem to be "off" but I cant quite figure out whats off... I sort of like the look, but I guess the underground section seems strange to me or something like that.

The first drop is a bit odd.
Dotrobot Posted April 15, 2011 Author Posted April 15, 2011 This also looks too cramped and too big for something to put in. I'm struggling to see what i can put in here. SCR139.BMP
SoCalCoasters Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 It may just be me, but I feel a launch coaster would go much better in that location....
MeMeMe Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 ^Yes but I think he wants a woodie. If you're going to do a Side-Friction thingie like that, at least lose the tunnel.
