jray21
Egg Salad Sanwiches ... you have got to be f'n kidding me. Are you trying to scare away any potential customers before the place is even built? This is TPR ... just imagine the all the gas that would create - let alone the bad sulfer breathe - EW! Oops, my bad. I thought I was on another, more prestigious, site ^Great! All we need now is a boat, some gloves, hammers, and if someone can bring some skinless hotdogs, cigarettes, beer, and Wagamama, we're all set to go! Fixed! Andrewoplis
It actually makes me wonder - Would an indoor park of a similar concept (physical games and obstacle courses) be successful in the United States? The concept, not exactly the execution. It probably would, but safety would have to be a major part of it because of lawsuits.

I think that a facility that had this concept for an indoor attraction and an outdoor facility that has an obstacle course similar to "Wipeout" would be worth a thousand laughs and a thousands sore muscles. But I would be one of the first in line.

But I would be one of the first in line. I'm sure Elissa can speak to this better than I can with her own personal Wipeout experience, but I really thought that Wipeout was a very different type of show than Sasuke (although some of it looks similar) and the park wasn't really all based on the show, only that one section of it. Wipeout seems to be more about making fun of the contestants that don't make it (hence the shows moniker) and Sasuke seemed to be more about celebrating those athletes that DO make it. Some of the people who completed the Sasuke course in record time have gone on to be "reality show celebrities" in Japan, whereas on Wipeout, the winners seem to be overshadowed by the spectacles made by the losers. I would say that most of the park was more like "Wii Fit" or "Mario Party" games and puzzles...but live action! --Robb Edited October 13, 2010 by robbalvey
amyzoo
This is sad news, that was such a fun place...I'm glad that I made it there at least once. Hopefully I can try the other one someday

SoCalCoasters
This is really sad, I love seeing bizarre parks like this on TPR.... I'm sure Elissa can speak to this better than I can with her own personal Wipeout experience, Hearing this I promptly searched the threads, and found this video: So this is where the 'rug' jokes come from! Turn something like this into a park, people would line up for miles!

Odaiba Massurupaku I regret that MP's concept has not been successful. Poor planning makes every park an unpopular burden! I could think of turning Muscle Park into a casino, a trade centre for the PRC, a motion picture soundstage, etc.
