Coupon Posted August 15, 2010 Author Posted August 15, 2010 That is actually a good idea, I will change the colors, later
dmaxsba2408 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I really think a full size GIB would be perfect for a park of this quality. You can see instructions for it HERE. Thanks for the closer picture of Superman, the station looks better than I thought it did. My only issue with is being able to see the queue line where the exit is. A wall there would finish it off very nicely.
Coupon Posted August 15, 2010 Author Posted August 15, 2010 ^Ya, I know how to make one, i do it all the time on my other computer. the thing is i have Windows 7 so i cant merge.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Well if you need the older version of 8cars, I would go that one thread. I'm pretty sure its Page 8 in the RCT2 Help thread if my memory is right. That should be the right version of 8cars to use.
10ryansmith Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 ^ None of them work on Windows7. Me and dmaxba had a conversation over this. I have to change to XP but it changes everything. Some of the things that are saved in 7 dont transfer over to the XP format. (Unless this is only with my computer) With me it changes all my saved games to XP but will not change them back. I get the flashing loading bar when I try to change the saved games back to Windows7. Right now, Windows7 and 8cars dont mix at all, unless I get this freaking patch to work right. Anyway, love the station but would do what dmaxba says and add that piece to the exit.
Coupon Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 ^Ya, Windows 7 isnt good for rct2 :l last time I tried to zero clearance it glitched up the whole park, and i know how to use 8-cars
dmaxsba2408 Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 ...unless I get this freaking patch to work right. Sorry for jumping off your parks topic Coupon but seeing ^that^ made be very happy! Didn't know you (Ryan) were still working on that. Hope you are able to getting working. No pressure or anything but... ...we're all counting on you.
Coupon Posted August 18, 2010 Author Posted August 18, 2010 Woo! Running out of ideas is so fun! Superman's new station The football field which i removed all the white glitches from The overview with a lot of empty space Just a random picture from the very start of SFW
dmaxsba2408 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 What is going on in ^that^ picture? What a mess! So what's the issue with your running out of ideas? You can do this three ways. Just fill in the rest with random rides, buildings and trees. Or stop right there and call it finished. Or move on to the next phase with planned expansions like an Arrow Suspended, Old school B&M Stand-Up or an modern over the top version like SFMM Riddler. An expanded children's area with a good themed Log Flume and Mini Coaster, and maybe a Driving School ride like Lego Land has only in a really boring way that only Six Flags could come up with. How about a Thomas Town, there is a great Thomas Train available for the game. The Wooden Mouse Mine cars would make for a great Terrible Trucks coaster. No modern Six Flags park would be complete without a Flying Coaster, Vekoma or B&M versions would work. Think I would go with Vekoma so the park doesn't get over B&M'ed. Where is the much need floorless B&M in the parking lot? You have a lot of room and a lot left you can add to this park, so stop whining around and get busy!
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Lack of inspiration? Build a Vekoma Flying Dutchman.
Coupon Posted August 18, 2010 Author Posted August 18, 2010 ^ I dont have THAT much space What is going on in ^that^ picture? What a mess! So what's the issue with your running out of ideas? Just filled half the space with a Thomas Town Couldn't make good layouts for a old-school B&M stand up, B&M flying coaster or the massive floorless. If you wanna try to make one im always open to guestspots
Calicoasters Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Hmmm... I know it's a lot of work, but maybe you should save all the rides with their scenery and start over on a smaller map. Or you could do the SFMM thing an build coaster everywhere!
Coupon Posted August 18, 2010 Author Posted August 18, 2010 ^ The problem is that Goliath is blocking the way of shrinking the map but i can always move the Deja Vu clone towards Golitah and fill the rest with parking lot. Then I could add one last coaster that replaces Superman add a couple more rides and its done. The moving of Deja Vu would be easy
dmaxsba2408 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Woo! If you wanna try to make one im always open to guestspots Change the land I am allowed to build on to different colors and label each for what you are looking for, ex- blue = stand up, red = floorless... and PM me the park. I would love to give it a shot. Been so busy doing other RCT2 related things I haven't had much time to start a park. But just building in one for a day or so would be great! So if you wish PM me the park (export plugins please).
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 When will there be a download for this park? I'm exited for one already.
Coupon Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Almost 10 days with no post SFW needs your help! We have choosen 3 designs from B&M and we can choose only one. Option 1: A Superman flyer. Option 2: A stand up like RR (colors arn't final) Option 3: A stand up like Iron Wolf (colors arn't final) Thanks to dmaxsba for the bottom two!
Dotrobot Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 The first one is no. It has to be either 2nd or 3rd. But I prefer 3rd for it's clean looking ness and i prefer 2nd for some turns and elements I liked.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Definitely the flyer. It looks the cleanest and least cluttered in my opinion.
djbrcace1234 Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 (edited) If you could expand more on the Flyer, I would use that one as the other two just seem to bundled up for that small space. Edited August 28, 2010 by djbrcace1234
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 ^It probably wouldn't hurt to expand upon the flyer. I actually think it would be cool to do an egg turn over the lake next to the brake run.
rckrazy06 Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I actually like the flyer. Its "short and sweet" and interacts with the surrounding environment well. The other two are creative...yet very cluttered at the same time.
Coupon Posted August 28, 2010 Author Posted August 28, 2010 So far the flyer has more votes, I can expand it though
djbrcace1234 Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I can expand it though I say make this "clone" SupermanOverview.BMP
Kraken & Manta Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I say go with the flying, but edit it some. Add a Pretzel loop, and possibly make a hill so it can be like SFOG's Superman that is ground hugging.
