Looks nice! I especially love the paths for some odd reason. :/

And you can probably guess what state I'm gonna suggest. I mean, it's partially in my username here!

Thanks!

CDI Annual Conference - Tuesday, August 10th 2010

Hello everyone, welcome all to the Creative Designs Incorporated Annual Conference.

*Applause*

You are all here because you bought the special 3-year Platinum Season Pass Offer, and you are entitled to attend our Annual Conferences.

Now, first order of buisness, as you all have known, last week marked the successful opening of both Adventure Shores Boardwalk and Palm Bay Zoo. As you also know, construction has been.. Reported near the parking garages and also near the back of the Zoo. We believe it's time to uncover what we have been working on.

*More applause*

As you know, CDI also designs and builds resorts. And the structure near the parking garage is no different. It will soon be the tallest building on the grounds and will be able to support the largest number of guests at any in park hotel.

*Man in buisness clothes raises hand* Yes?

"You seem to be in direct competition with MARF, as they-"

Ah, yes MARF. We are aware of their comming presence in Florida and we are adjusting our strategic buisness plan to *hopefully* contend with their incredible service record of great parks and resorts.

Concept art of the new hotel.

All we are willing to reveal about the construction in the Zoo however, is that it is a ride, and it is related to the animals.

Conference continues.. Discussions about restaurants, show contracts, etc.

I'm sure you all have heard the rumors of CDI searching for land to build a new park. Well, the rumors are true. CDI has been searching around the country and we have narrowed the search to two locations:

Vallejo, CA

and

North of Seattle, WA

Site #1: Vallejo

Pros:

Large open space.

Near urban areas, including San Francisco, Berkely, Oakland and Sacramento.

Close to major highways. (I780, I680, I80)

Cons:

Close to several parks. (Echenima, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, California's Great America)

Los Angeles could be a more popular destination.

Site #2: North of Seattle, WA

Pros:

Large space.

No major competition.

Cons:

Close to an airport. Ride height restrictions.

Space concerns due to farmland and small roads.

Not near any MAJOR urban areas.

This concludes our Annual Conference, any questions?

Your detail amazes me! You sure put a lot of work into this. Which location to pick is up to you as I have no problem with either one.

And, I've always been thinking about making a super-thread where people submit their parks into TPR's own little world of RCT2. Like how you did with MARF, you know? Two different threads but they both effect each other. Just an idea.

As said before, great and detailed update, I'm looking forward to more

Thank you! I always find a way to put competition into my companies.

It sounds like a pretty good idea actually. Not sure how EXACTLY it would work..

Details, details

Here's my base plan:

We create a thread explaining what's going on. If someone's up to it, they would submit their parks into the "Virtual-TPR" park index, The first post would be updated and treated like TPR's real park index, with links in alphabetical order to the parks and their respective threads.

What would go on is if someone at one park breaks a record, another park can break that record. Most roller coasters, most attractions...you name it, any record in real life. And once someone submits their park the give any other VirtualTPR member permission to use their park's name.

Sounds...difficult, But I can see it being done.

On topic. Can't wait to see this new devolpment!

I have too much free time on my hands and I've been planning this for a while now

I could PM everything I'm thinking of, if you want me to. This is a GREAT way to boost activity on these forums- people would be trying harder to break records, best other parks...etc!

That does sound like a cool idea, breaking records and such.

Remember the new ride we hinted at during the Annual Conference? It was completed in the last few days!

The "Safari Train" is a new ride located near the back part of the Palm Bay Zoo, behind the tiger exibit. It is a large railroad traversing the PBZ Safari and includes four different animal sections. Guests board the ride in the main station building.

Riders immediately pass the Gorilla Jungle.

After that, Panda Mountain.

Then riders travel past the Watering Hole.

Finally, the trains travel up and over Tiger Hills.

The ride will be very popular with families!

Enjoy, comments welcome!

Question of the Day: Would Jeff Johnson count this ride as a credit?

Posted

Absolutely love the train ride, I would pull the land up in the one spot on the curve to get rid of the wood in the 3rd picture. It will help to keep the rides clean look. The station is very smooth and modern and looks nice, just have to wonder it a more rustic structure would fit the ride better.

OFFICIAL PARK LOCATION:

CDI's newst park, Bayland Park will be located here:

This location is close to the Bay area, and nearby two major airports and highways. Construction is currently underway.

The train ride is very cool, and I can't wait to see your new park

Oh, and I've been tossing ideas around about "VirtuTPR" for a few days. I could PM them to you if you want.

Hello all, this is an announcement + minor update.

Announcement: From now on I think I'll be posting all new CDI Parks in their own threads, to reduce complications and also to make it easier for the VirtuTPR submissions. (Hope you guys think that's ok. )

Minor Update:

New train colors!

Posted

You are a RCT2 GOD!!

Everything about this park is flawless! Is this all on one map or is it multiple maps? And what are those trains on the woodie, are they Gerstlauer?

I can't believe I just found this, I must have been living under a rock! lol

I really like these past few updates. I would suggest beefing up your foliage a bit, it looks kinda skimpy in some parts. I think for the Panda Mountain area, some underbrush would be a nice touch. In the newest picture, those are Amazing Earl's Dream Woodie cars. Keep working your magic!

Creative Designs Incorporated - Press Conference

Palm Bay, FL - CDI Executives announced today that Arcadia, which hasn't gotten a new ride of any sort for at least two seasons, will be receving a new ride of some sort within the next month. Other rumors include a concept drawing that surfaced a week ago, the drawing depicted a large roller coaster of some sort. In relation to a similar concept drawing of Adventure Shore's Power Tower sets the coaster at in the 200+ foot range. CDI also announced plans to "expand the sphere of our parks's influence".

Update time! Massive addition to Arcadia!

_____________________________________________________________

August 31st - Today marks the opening day of CDI's secret project at Arcadia - Warrior. 8,081 feet of steel, 93 miles per hour, 275 feet in the air.

Designed by Intamin AG, this record-breaking giga coaster is 630 feet longer than previous record holder, Six Flags Majestic Lake's Flash: The Ride.

Train #1 reaches the top of the 275 foot tall cable lift.

When at the bottom of the first drop, the train hits 93 mph.

Hill #2 of an incredible 19.

The turnaround can be seen from all over the park.

Trains fly past in a high-speed turn.

A turn directly into a drop, bringing the coaster along the river.

Another turnaround!

Flying over the path, guests can watch the coaster directly above them.

The coaster dwarfs Eclipse across the pathways.

Another path flyover.

Ripping past the station and queue lines.

The final section of the coaster, a mass of twisting track in the woods.

Coaster stats and overview. You can clearly see how Warrior stands over much of the park.

Comments and critisim welcome, as always!

Posted

That is one awesome coaster. Definitely deserves the record. I could ride it all day! Nice job!

Also, a giga coaster is classified as a ride over 300ft (or is it a drop longer than 300ft?). So Warrior didn't quite make the cut 275ft is still massive, though!

Posted
Giga coasters have a drop that is over 300 feet.

Well now, I see we have some friendly competition here now.

Nice coaster.

*hits head on desk*

Ah well, I got in on the second try.
