Thuur Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 New pictures on Eftelist, including pictures from the now unveiled road side of the building. Not my pictures, so no deeplink. Click here to view
Trumple Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) The construction of Ravelin is rapidly progressing. Update time! Steel framework for the medieval grandstand. More steelwork... Theming that probably will be placed upon the grandstand. Same. These are the first pictures taken from the road to the parking lot: This side of the building is far from finished and still needs some paint and shading. Though, it's already looking quite nice. Detail: Rave(lin) - Raven bird - get it? One more look at the model. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOgvu7uB2P0 Recently Efteling opened the bridge along the city gate. Now there's music, fog, mysterious bubbles and an effect that is going to give your childern a heart attack for sure. Yeah, hooray for The Efteling! Feel free to comment. haiderodes Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 ^love it! but what exactly is the effect supposed to be? something mysterious in the water? are the birds attacking?
Dailey Enterprizes Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 It kind of looks like a baseball diamond. Dutchball! I love the "look" of the architecture. Of course, that's just the exterior. I guess everything needs to be built with a steel skeleton to last these days.
Trumple Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 ^love it! but what exactly is the effect supposed to be? something mysterious in the water? are the birds attacking? Nobody knows. Maybe it's supposed to illustrate the climax of the music. But that's just nasty...
Trumple Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 I have a few updates on Ravelin for you! Sneak peek inside the 'magic city' of Ravelin on the front of a local newspaper. The headline reads: "Creating fairy tales means heavy working - behind the facades of Efteling." This is the Ravelin Water Mill house. Close-up fail. Notice the LCD Monitors. One of the dining areas in the medieval-themed restaurant "The arms of the city of Ravelin".
beatle11 Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 That looks incredible! Where are they getting the money for all this?
jarmor Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 That looks incredible! Where are they getting the money for all this? The mob...but seriously the same place all parks get money, from gate sales.
