CCI-Misty Mountain Hop [NL]

Staion and supports are nearly finished. I'm working on landscaping now.

Why are there no catwalks?

Because it's easier to clean and neaten up the supports on a woodie when there is no catwalks in the way.

Why is there nothing below the station platform and why is the station itself so darn tall?

 

Also, how do you make all the supports steel? I could never figure out an efficient way to do it.

^My guess is that the station building is just hidden and that is just a custom built building (possibly using in house tools). And in terms of the supports being "steel", I would place my money on they are *technically* wood supports that are just painted grey (to fool people, which I think it worked).

^^ You select all the supports that you want to change, then click/select the type of support you want to change them to. Then click on the "Supports" drop-down menu and select "Transform Selected Beams". That should do it. Nice car-textures by the way!

I've never had catwalks get in the way. They're just wire-frame boxes in the editor.

 

I hope you put them back. The coaster looks weird right now.

Its all coming along. Supports aren't finished. Catwalks should be added. They just take a while for them to look realistic. The supports are steel also, not wood, haha. Also, my staion is not that weird. http://rcdb.com/2667.htm?p=11513 Hades's staion is even taller than mine.

^And height of the railing. But to my question, that requires a lot of fixing. Isn't there a way for them just to be built steel automatically? If not, sorry for my ignorance.

^Please don't say anything if I missed one letter in one word. Esspecially because you didn't even spell "built" right.

 

Anyways, thanks for showing me the scaling problem with the station. I fixed that and I also got some catwalks and landscaping done!

You have it so the support generator does not add in the handrails or catwalks (therefore leaving only the structural supports) then just select them all, select the L beam, and then go to Supports -> Transform Selected Beams.

After I color and modify the structural supports underneath and add all lateral bracing, then I customize ledgers myself and add handrails with the support generator. After that, I will then semi-manually put in catwalks like I'm doing. All lateral supports station work and other details are 100% custom. It takes a LOT of work, but I think it looks realistic now. I hoped that helped clarify things!
