deathbydinn
Basically I decided it would be easier to post all my 2010 trip reports in one neat little thread instead of in a bunch of different little threads. Enjoy. 2010 Reports: Six Flags Great America May 1 SFGAM June 5 BONUS Hellcat pictures Little Amerricka Part 1 June 12 Little Amerricka Part 2 June 12 Little Amerricka Part 3 June 12 Little Amerricka Part 4 June 12 Little Amerricka Part 5 June 12 Busch Gardens Tampa June 22 Written Report Busch Gardens Tampa June 22 PTR Lowry Park Zoo June 24 East Troy Fair July 4 Italian Fest July 15 Timber Falls July 24 Mt. It was a great day and I should have taken a lot more pictures but since I didn't I'll just do a lot of talking. Got to the park around 9:30, went to the flags to find Cameron, Jo and Jeremie where we waited for everyone else to arrive. Went into the park around 10:20. Most of the day was pretty cloudy and it drizzled for about 10 minutes. For the most part waits weren't too bad. Anyway onto the ride reviews: Rue Le Dodge - We had a few pretty good crashes within our group. While I think the seatbelt are weird, they don't hurt you when you slam into someone *cough*Little Amerricka *cough* King Chaos - First time on King Chaos. I think it looks scarier then it really is, but it's still an awesome ride and is now my favorite flat in the park. Batman - Rode in the sixth row. Intense as always but I did bang my head when leaving the second loop, which has never happened before. East River Crawler - Always a fun ride, but no one was able to find a Schwarzkopf sticker on it Whirligig - Ride failed to start while we were in line but after about 3-5 minutes it did. Nice little ride V2 - Got on with Griffin, Cameron and Jeremie. After sitting there for a minute or two and no launch yet, the ride ops called maintenance and got us off the ride. They looked over the control panel, got a ladder, a new part, and put it on the train. Then we heard the "Lost" siren, the train launched and completed the test run fine. We got back on...only for the same thing to happen again. Two more test runs, got back on and got our ride. As usual it was awesome. Loggers Run - Rode with Jeremie with Nathan and Griffin right behind us. I got pretty wet but dried off quickly. American Eagle - Rode on red side only. A little rougher than last season but nothing too bad. Saw a glimpse of the Chang track from the exit ramp. Demon - Rode in the rear. Great airtime down the first drop, no head banging on the loops and very little on the Corkscrews. Iron Wolf - Rode in the last car. I didn't think it was too bad. Shaky throughout the whole ride, but only banged my head when leaving the loop and entering the corkscrew. Raging Bull - Rode in the rear, kinda shaky at the bottom for the drops but nothing too bad. Viper - Running much better than last season. Wasn't at its full airtime ability but still very good. Chubasco - Rode with Griffin and Father Griffin and spun a lot. As Griffin said I would I felt my throat touching my spine Triple Play - They really need to get all the restraints to open at the same time. That buzzing noise can get very annoying. Revolution - Another very fun ride, I like the way the ride ops interact with the riders. Whizzer - Got on the last train of the day. They really went insane with the Karate Kid ads. Hopefully they'll take them down on 6.11 Giant Drop - Great airtime. While we were in line for Demon it broke down with people at the top. They were up there for about 10 minutes before they were brought down elevator mode. Only one car got stuck. Fiddlers Fling - I love this ride, good forces. Orbit - I choose not to ride the painful way as Griffin and Nathan suggested. I'm happy I didn't as I could hear them through out the whole ride and it didn't sound good. I think thats everything we rode. After the park closed Griffin, Father Griffin, Jo, and myself went to Jersey Mikes for subs. It was delicious. Wisconsin needs one! As I said before I didn't take a lot of pictures but here are the ones I did. Pulling in, it's been too long. The flags we meet up by Little Dipper's lift hill Little Dipper's drop Little Dipper's station Sign for Little Dipper East River Crawler, there must be a Schwarzkopf sticker on it somewhere Griffin and Averi with Tweety during lunch Casey's awesome Spiral lift hill goodness Whizzer through the trees. Whizzer model Yankee Clipper and Loggers Run Demon errr.. Turn of the Century Good night Six Flags. It was an awesome day and even my mom had fun and thought everyone was really cool. Can't wait to see everyone again! Edited August 9, 2012 by deathbydinn

deathbydinn
Went to the park yesterday and for a Saturday it was really empty. No waits over 20 minutes, practically everything was a walk on. The only somewhat long line was for Loggers Run and even that was only 20 mins. Also after yesterday I have ridden everything in the park besides the upcharges. All I had left were Little Dipper and a few water rides. Everything was open for at least some of the day besides all of BBNP. I also got to see some TPR members again which is always great. Here's my ride report of change or notable things from my last visit. Raging Bull- While still shaky it didn't seem as bad as last time. The crew was amazing. Even with all three trains there was no stacking and no waiting in the station. Dark Knight - Better than my last ride. They put people in the pre show room no matter where the show was. It was nice not having to watch the whole thing. All of the effects were on unlike my last ride. The only effect I don't really get is the disco light. I like it, but I don't see how it fits in. Viper- Rode after it rained. It was AMAZING. It really flew through the course and had great airtime. A million times better than last season. Batman- All the queue effects were on. The ride seemed a little rougher but still nice and intense. Overall even with the rain it was a great day. Probably my best visit to the park. I don't remember ever getting on so many rides and waits being so short. Here are the few pictures I took. Superman peeking through the trees. Broke down the first time I was on it. Ok ride but I really just dont care for flying coasters. Waiting for the park to open. King Chaos. Love the ride, hate its paint job. King Chaos through you guessed it the trees. Tried playing Kick Boody on Whiligig. I failed. I would like to see the park push the first inverted coaster thing more. Kinda like they did with LD history. I heard at least 5 people say, Hey! Lets go ride TWIST! Enjoy your ride on TWIST presented by AXE. Please do not attempt to apply deodorant while the ride is in motion. Thank you. Somethings missing Oh yeah Cha Ching! Really though Little Dipper is great for the park but I do prefer Meteor over it. LD seems a bit slower that Meteor but still a good ride. Twist...twisting Whaddya mean Porkys Buzzy Bee's is closed today? Even theming needs a break. Batman through Little Dipper through the fence! This used to be my favorite ride in the park. PG gives some good views of RC Double up. Double ow. Spin baby spin! Weee! I do like the sounds it makes though. As if having Colossus stand in for Eagle in commercials wasn't enough. deathbydinn
BONUS PICTURE TIME I found a few pictures of the Hellcat from Timber Falls. I'll post a full report of the park when I go this summer. Enjoy the bonus pics! The entrance! IMO much cooler than a normal building park entrance! The drop! Small but oh so insane! The airtime this ride gives is just amazing! As seen from the highway. If you ever in the Dells, cough up the 6.50 and ride Hellcat! Its worth every penny! deathbydinn
Little Amerricka Part 1. As you may or may not know, Little Amerricka purchased the cars, lift, drop and turn of Kiddielands log flume. They are hoping to have it up by 2011. Right now the parts are sitting where the Lady Gay used to be. Yep used to. The Lady Gay is gone Anyway these log flume parts where not in a restricted area, we didn't jump any fences, we didn't break into anything, they are sitting by the parking lot and the park has no problem with people going to look at them. Now enough boring talk, onto the pictures! Hmmm wheres the Lady Gay?!? And what are those things in her spot?!? Lets go for a closer look. Log Flume parts! Lets go in for an even closer look! Yep, these came from Kiddieland! I think there were nine cars, might be wrong though, so dont quote me on it! A piece of track! There arent too many of these because at Kiddieland it was built into the ground, so LA only bought parts that were elevated. Bottom of the drop I think this is part of the lift. Another drop part. Supports and more random flume crap! Looks like they have some painting to do.. Overview of the cars As seen from the monorail Another monorail shot. The parts can be seen from the bumper boats See? Park pictures coming soon!
Jojo19799
I think we need to start a Facebook group to help bring back the Lady Gay. I wonder where she went?
traincrossin
Why was the Lady Gay there in the first place? Was it a ride or something?
Jojo19799
I always thought it was just there for decoration.
deathbydinn
I honestly have no clue why it was there. Perhaps it was a ride when the park first opened. Side note if anyone wants a Little Amerricka brochure check out my post here. EDIT: Little Amerricka Amusement Park We are still in planning stages for where to put the log flume. As far as the structure, most of the ride was poured concrete so we will most likely approach it the same way. The steamboat that was in the back of the park was sold to a third party. deathbydinn
This part is all about the Mad Mouse coaster! The coaster has no restraints so it can make for some interesting and rough rides. The height chart is new. It used to be a mouse. The cars also got new foam, it used to be orange Brake run One big rough turn around I got my mom to ride it. She said she didn't like it but I think she had fun! Jeremie loved it! Arsty Fartsy I must be going insane because I think it feels like the car tilts on those turns! Under the lift Who likes Mad Mouse?!?! Me! Me! I do!!! Did you enjoy your ride Gavin? It looks innocent... On ride pictures taken with permission! What coaster am I on?!? Not too bad OH $H1T!!! He seems calm, but he just got just beat by airtime! The other Allan H coaster is the Little Dipper kiddie coaster. It can also give you a beating The lift sounds weird Not the best site to see at the top of a lift... They may be small...but they will kick your @$$! Look at Jo being smart and not riding! That's it for this update! Mr. Starr
Foam noodles, FTW. It's a shame that I haven't visited this park before considering I don't live very far away. I want them to put up that log flume already! Nice report, this seems like a nice park!
deathbydinn
The log flume won't be up until 2011 since they are taking Kiddielands approach and having all the track dug underground.
deathbydinn
Little Amerricka also has two other rolly coasters! One is wood and one is steel, and yes the steel one is much rougher than the wood one. Even though all their steel coasters are pretty janky, no other park in Wi has three steel coasters, and I'd take theres over Mt. O's steel coasters any day! Anyway, onto the pictures! The Lincoln Park Comet: Coming to a Little Amerricka near you. (Not for a few years though!) Well Robb and Casey could handle it... Not very friendly to men... You can see it from everywhere, it just sits there, laughing at you for the pain it will give you Even when your on the good coaster you cant escape it It does look cool though Its the first thing you see pulling into the park The vertical lift is fun though, now enough with the death coasters, onto Meteor! Such a nice thing to see walking into the park Overview. Its a mirror image of SFGAMs Little Dipper, but we all thought it was much better than LD! I love the sound of its lift! The first turn around. You may have saw that I already used this photo, that is because it works for two different things! Isn't that neat?! The drop is actually really good! And oh so smooth! Gavin and Jeremie loved it! And look at all the padding on those cars, its like riding in a sofa! And yes the parks General Manager gave us permission to take on ride pictures! The final dip! Can't get enough?!? Dont worry you get three more laps! (and check out those skid brakes!) Double down! Weee! You may ask, how is this a Meteor photo? Look at Jo's sun glasses. Yep, Meteor track. Also the parachute tower looks a lot like a 2nd Gen Intamin drop tower. Everybody loves Meteor! See?!? Everybody! Thats all for this part!
traincrossin
I think Meteor has more time to break in than Little Dipper. Nice report Jon! I like Gavin's gloves, just wanted to say that.
deathbydinn
This is the second to last update for Little Amerricka. These are just general photos of all the other rides. Enjoy! Heading in. Mario loves his tilt-a-whirls! Scrambler. Park index love! Unfortantly, during these events only the train is open Roll-O-Planes are full of DEATH The ride op would stop the ride like this so people could get pictures of the rides victims! The car does look cool though... Look at that thin little pole holding the car. The Mini Golf is really nice Why do I have a feeling I did something REALLY stupid on this....oh yeah The carousel seemed very "stripped down" I cant remember if it was always like that. My least favorite part of that ride Spooky... The train is really good! Go right past Mini Golf The caboose collects your balls Awwwww Dawhhh Ahh Jeremie was very interested in the grass L.A. has a Raging Bull too! Zebra! AWWWWW They go very close to the track. Thats all for this update, just one left! Edited July 14, 2010 by deathbydinn
deathbydinn
This is the last update from this great little park! Go karts! The parachutes are kinda fun The monorail is nice for photos, but a bit loud! The kiddie area is nice If you use the handle bar just right, you can turn the ride into a mini bouncy bouncy! Weeeee? I wish I could ride that... Lets go check out the haunted house.. ARGHH Hey! This a family park! No drinking on the job! Right...scary O_O I hope you enjoyed my LA report! larrygator
For the record - the Lady Gay has never left Dutch Wonderland. The shipwrecked boat in Marshall, Wisconsin was the Robert E. Lee.
deathbydinn
^ We just called it Lady Gay because thats what Robb and Joey called it in one of the Coaster Expedition videos. But yes your right it was really the Robert E. lee. Edited September 8, 2010 by deathbydinn
