Erik Johnson Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I recently broke out my Sega Dreamcast the other day and decided to play a little of the Mario Go-Cart rip-off Walt Disney World game. What made this game a little more unique was that each of the race tacks were themed from many of the E-Ticket rides from all four lands of Orlando's Walt Disney World. It features such tracks as Rock N Roller Coaster, Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain (though its more like the Disneyland one rather than WDW's) Pirates of the Carribean...and so on. And yes for Sharktums the main characters of the game are Chip N Dale. I still can't figure out where the music from the Dinosaur track comes from since I have yet to hear it on the ride. Everything else I recognize (Except RnR Coaster which has a generic rock theme due to licensing isuues.)
SharkTums Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I'll give you one guess as to if I have it or not!?!?! What do you think!!! It's Chip n Dale related of course I do!!! I also have the Game Boy version...I really think this is a great game, it was my favorite for the Dreamcast!
CoasterJunkie Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 That damn game drove me nuts...no pun intended.. I couldnt get first on the Jungle Cruise one for some reason. I used to get so pissed at the game. That game was famous for "cheating". I still love it though.
YoshiFan Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I have it for Playstation. It was a fun game but I agree the computer cheated too much. I would be in 1st place for almost all of the 3 entire laps and I would get hit with a weapon (I hated the frog one where you became a frog) and lose the race. I also didn't understand why they didn't have more "main" Disney characters like Mickey, Pluto etc. I thought that using the ride vehicles instead of go karts was a great and clever idea. I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel with better graphics and more attractions. Another similar game I like is Mickey's Speedway USA for N64. The tracks aren't Disney World related but it was made by Rare and it's a great game. It is a Mario Kart clone but a good one. I also want to see an update to the NES game Adventures In The Magic Kingdom which was one of my favorite games back when the NES was the current system.
Erik Johnson Posted August 9, 2005 Author Posted August 9, 2005 Hmmm...maybe they made the Dreamcast version a little easier...It was not too hard.
YoshiFan Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 That could be, especially if it might have been released after the Playstation version (if it wasn't, I have no idea why I didn't get it for Dreamcast since the graphics must have been better)
dandaman Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 Wow, this reminds me... I still have a GBA. I almost forgot about it entirely! Yes, I do still have WDW: MRT, and it used to be one of my favourite games.
