Capitalize Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I am really hoping so. I was there yesterday, and the lines were incredibly long, and we opted out of El Toro, for another awesome run on Nitro instead. That last time really is just still sitting there reminding me of 200ft of "bangbangbangbang". I was going to try in the middle/front next time because I thought maybe the last car just was bouncing and maybe not all the cars do that. I find Nitro in the back to be more rough then El Toro in the back. Nitro has a pretty battle rattle, especially at the bottom of the first drop. El Toro has a couple spots that give a bit of roughness but like was already said its smoother then a lot of steel coasters of the same size. In any case I still love it after my 3 backseat rides yesterday. Just phenomenal airtime. ^ In the morning? I was there yesterday and loved getting two rides in real fast with no wait in the back just around 11 o clock.
Satchboogie3 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 My very first ride on it was in the Front and I thought it was awesome... until I rode it in the back. I have never felt such extreme (and abundant) airtime in my life. I have never ridden in the front since. Once you go back, you never go... back ( )

Not sure what the conditions were, but I haven't found Nitro anything but smooth this year and I only ride it in the last two rows. El Toro - sometimes early in the season and with a less than full train there is a roughness on the first turnaround. But other than those conditions have seen no roughness on El Toro. Also, I generally ride El Toro towards the back of the train.
Capitalize Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I didn't mean that either was rough, but rather that I found Nitro to have more of a rattle to it then El Toro, but both are smooth.
some sort of coaster dude Posted August 24, 2009 Posted August 24, 2009 The first drop in the back seat is INSANE!!!!!! Probably the best first drop on ANY coaster I've ever ridden. Yes! Praise be to El Toro. .... my first ride in the very back of El Toro ever was brutal in roughness, however the second time i was one row up from the back, still in the last car, and it was much smoother, i cannot conceive of Nitro being rough at all, let alone "rougher than El toro" sure it bumps and shakes but it doesn't cause a beating the way a wooden coaster usually will and does
