EnglndPatriots6 Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 So me and my cousin and his wife drove up to the park Saturday. It was one of my best trips to a park in a long time. The only problem was getting there at 8 central time which we forgot to plan for central time. Raven was running great, I think I got in about 20 rides the whole day. There was almost no wait for most of the day. We was able to get to it fast enough to be the first ride of the day which was pretty cool. The stupid PTC trains kill me though. The divider just smashes you into seat. It was running fairly smooth and wasn't nearly as rough as the last trip. Legend was running great also, but the PTC trains just take away from the ride. They would be fine without such a bulky divider. This was one of the rides that I got a lot of artistic pictures on, well to me they are. Pilgrims Plunge was fun to watch. I didn't feel like waiting in line for it though and i had jeans on so I didn't really feel like walking around with soaked jeans all day. The ride seemed to be continuously moving I must say. Voyage Is even better this year, on the ride and from the ground. The new viewing area for the splash down for PP allows you to get a better look at the ride. I'll be putting the pics on section by section since my camera was set to take pics at 2048 x 1538 so i have to re-size them all. This should be a pretty well detailed TR but it's not 100% complete. I didn't get many pictures of the Christmas section but ill be back this year and ill finish. Now the pictures: The front of the building is pretty neat. We ate here all day Sign walking into Christmas from the 4th of July and Halloween sections And heres a up close. I wonder what the boat was doing up there at 8 in the morning central time. Two of the parks amazing rides Must be getting close. Stupid traffic sign We passed this awesome ride on the way to Holiday World Their launch tower; pretty fun ride. They got banners like these all over the park for each section I like these kinds of rides The parks carousel. Pretty good ride to rest your feet on. We ate here for dinner, the tacos were the best. The bumper cars was ok but the one way thing kinda ruins the point of ride. That's about how tall Liberty Launch is. Whatever he did made it groan to a stop both times they started it then it magically came back to life working properly Pretty good picture. The ride broke down shortly after I took it, and we got the footage! The parks spider. The cars were pretty fun but we almost came off the track. Cant forget the sign. And if for some reason you didn't get wet so far this scene will make you get wet. Raging rapids will get you wet. But it lies about stealing your glasses. Some history on the Train The only original ride left in the park But for some people its just boring Eagles flight is fun when the wind is really blowing. We saw Pat working at the Kringles Kafe for breakfast and dinner, and then she was cleaning the park before it opened. That's dedication. The fourth of July pictures are up by the way. Halloween: Trying to figure out what the hell is going on with the seat belt. Stupid divider. The station is really nice. One of my best pictures of the day Good overview of the layout that's visible from the water park From thanksgiving. Another picture I think is pretty good Got bored at the dive show so I started to watch Legend. Legend was being very photogenic for me today. And this is the main focus of Frightful Falls Nice pic of both signs. And as the name implies it is a scrambler The ride has been toned down quite a bit from recent visits, just seemed slower. Give me a hug! Bwahhhh!!! Your ride vehicle The first scene(i might not add captions for these, they are in order as you come to them on the ride though) And yes it is fully themed. The parks lone dark ride. Really good to This place looked good but we weren't hungry at the time. It looks like it was a buffet of some sorts A new park icon is born. And then splashes down One on the way down The station The new ride they added. Its 136 ft tall I believe Two rides in one. Whoever's shoe this was had some pretty deformed feet. Shouldn't she be reported to the CPA? Maybe he should see a doctor for that swelling. Who steals pigs, seriously? Howler, the parks kiddie coaster I thought he fell? It would be cool if these sprayed water at you So how about you come over to my place tonight? Thanks for everyone who looked at them and posted. Anyone notice anything odd about this picture? I forgot the other Water Tower so here's the old one From sometime before 2004 Map from1993 the first guy is at 30 ft. the second is at 50 and the top guy is at 70 ft. Another of my favorite Lazy Rivers Kima bay is a nice addition also Bakuli + Voyage One of the best wave pools ever a interactive kids area Jungle racers is pretty neat also Slightly artistic. When i go back in August ill get a few key pictures of raven and then the shops, the games, restaurants, and slides and then ill say its the most complete TR for HW I've ever seen. EnglndPatriots6 Posted July 15, 2009 Author Share Posted July 15, 2009 Thanks. I was so mad at one thing with the park. Batteries cost 3 dollars for a pack of 2 batteries, 2 batteries. And because im a genius and bought rechargeable batteries i forgot to charge them so i had to buy batteries twice. So to solve this I bought myself a nice new Canon SD780 IS( has a battery pack) Glad you enjoyed the pictures. You'll definitely love Holiday World when you go, if you eat at the park do kringles kafe, thats where pat(the person on their advertisements) works when it starts to overflow with people and needs more workers, and its got amazing food. One thing I do have to say about the place is, if your soaked from Raging Rapids and its raining, and the place full, you might be best to avoid it because they will open the back up and its freezing cold back there.
