I have an insatiable urge to go on about how they shouldn't be bored because when I was 12 we didn't have this internet thing. If I wanted to talk with friends I had to pick up the damn phone... We only had the analog photos... We had to wait 2-3 days for our photos to come back from developing... Does this make me crotchety? Seriously... Maybe I need a new custom title... Perhaps "World's Youngest Crotchety Old Man"

Mind Eraser Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 Ken, I feel your pain, man. I remember when I started this hobby. I was 12 and my family didn't have the internet! I got all my news from *GASP* ACE News! And I spent countless hours calling and writing to parks asking for brochures and stuff. Without the net, this was such a slow-moving hobby. These coasters were so much more mysterious back then. The best was getting off the schoolbus and checking the mail, hoping that I would get something coaster related. Aww, those were the days. -kip-
