noahman Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I was wondering is the park normally crowded on this day
spaceace12 Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I have heard it isn't as crowded as you would expect. Plus it sounds like rain all day.
robbalvey Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I don't know about the mid-west parks, but when I worked at Disneyland, 4th of July was one of the 4 days of the year I'd tell people to stay the hell away from the park ! (Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving were the other days) It was one of our absoulte BUSIEST days of the year! Now weather aside, something else to keep in mind is that since the 4th falls on a SATURDAY this year, parks may be busier than the 4th than normal. But if you don't mind large crowds and you're just going to hang out and have fun anyway, go for it! And all things considered, even if it IS busy on the 4th of July, there must be way worse things you could doing on that day....like having eye surgery, or getting dumped by your girlfriend, or get bitten by a snake, or something like that. --Robb
robbalvey Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Actually...I take back what I said about the eye surgery. I realize now that most eye doctors would be closed on the 4th of July meaning that one scenario out of the three wouldn't be probable... Unless of course it's emergency eye surgery because the snake bit you in the eye, but c'mon, how likely is that to happen?
noahman Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 it might rain on saturday ,so i might not be that bad omg pilgrims plunge is so much funner when ride in the rain LOL

ginzo Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I went to HW on July 4, 2006 and found it to be fairly crowded. It wasn't slammed, but wait times were not short.
noahman Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 Hopefully the threat of rain will frighten some people off lol
Emiroo Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 I just got back from HW and it was packed today. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better for you.

DBru Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 Stay away from Holiday World on the 4th!!! I've made the mistake of visiting the park on the 4th twice. Both days were completely packed, and they were on Thursdays and Fridays...Saturdays in July at the park are pretty crowded as-is, so going on Saturday, Independence Day...well, it's just not a good idea. lol I don't want to dis Holiday World or anything (I'm a total fan boy...as most of you know), but I have a hard time believing that you will have an enjoyable day at the park on its busiest day of the year, with a 60% chance of thunderstorms (in which the rides will not run) and 70% humidity. Now, if you are really wanting to see the park's fireworks or something, I guess it's too late to change your mind. BUT, if not, I highly suggest going on Sunday. The park will be MUCH less crowded and the weather looks to be a lot nicer. Regardless, I'm sure you will find a way to have a good time!
noahman Posted July 4, 2009 Author Posted July 4, 2009 Ok i went as you can see im back allready not crowded att all it started rainging around noon and never stop i dont mind the rain ,but it was extremly cold something else i noticed since when do they not run the water on the drop on the pilgrims plunge oh well. i also had a problem with a ride op on the zinga water slide she wouldnt let me ride the slide by myself ( i have rode it before by myself in the past)
