3rdShiftCM Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Hey guys, My wife and I will be at WDW on the 30 & 31st and can't decide what would be better MK or HHN on the 31st? What are the crowds like at either park on Halloween night? Any help would be much appreciated. Haven't been to WDW since 2001, been way to long. 91 days to go and counting
maliboomer Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Do you mean HHN as in Halloween Horror Nights. Those arn't at MK. MK has Mickeys Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP).
SharkTums Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 HHN is usually pretty crowded on Halloween. But it is a Monday this year so that would still be better than going on the weekend. Try to do both the event at MK and the event at Universal. They are both very different, but very fun!
BarryH Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 The rule of thumb for HHN is that the closer it gets to Halloween, the more crowded it becomes. Usually, the Saturday before Halloween is packed. Saturdays basically are the busiest times during HHN. If you want to avoid crowds, arrive early, do the Stay and Scream program (if you're in the park at around 5 or 5:30, you can stay until the houses open, usually around 6:30), use HHN Universal Express tickets, or take the VIP tour. Also in the Orlando area for Halloween is MNSSHP at MK, Phobia at CG, and Howl-O-Scream at BGT. Howl-O-Scream in recent years has become on par with HHN.
3rdShiftCM Posted July 30, 2005 Author Posted July 30, 2005 Thanks guys, We're planning ongoing to do both, we arrive on the 30 so we were thinking about doing MK that night and then HHN on the 31st. Just wanted some expert help That stay and scream program sounds like the best bet, I'll have to look into that. I would also love to go to BGT but, the wife's not big on coasters.
it Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Come to Terror Mansion! http://www.terrormansionusa.com/tmsite.html As for HHN I don't know about that but it can get crowded. If you go dont go on the same week as halloween or try a Wednsday or a Tuesday. --Diego
BarryH Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 The scariest thing about HHN is.... ...the price of beer! $5 for a Bud? Come on!
Homer Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 ^Oh well Barry, theres the Hospitality House at BGT's Howl-O-Scream.
BarryH Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 ^That ain't open during HOS! At least, I don't think it is.
3rdShiftCM Posted August 1, 2005 Author Posted August 1, 2005 ^^ That's ok Barry, we're used to $7.00 a beer here in LA anyway.
moinab Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 MNSSHP tickets are limited. Halloween always sells out. The 30th will most likely be sold out, also. If you decide to go, I would check on ticket availability ASAP.
