Anyways, I was. On page 6. I didnt have a need to search 6 pages and read every single post. Especially when its late at night after spending like 5 straight hours building this coaster.

 

As you get answers like that Eric, just update them to your first post. Itll make things like this a lot easier!

I'll try to get this done. Trackwork is 100& done, but custom supports are my own personal hell.

I've worked my butt off trying to get the lateral g-forces as low as possible, and I seriously can't get them any lower.

 

My lats spike up to 1.4 for a split second, but that can only be seen in 25% speed...if they never get above 1.2 while watching it regularly in the simulator, is it okay?

^^ I'm definitely out. My coaster has Gs much higher than 1.2. The track will just be a stand alone project, I guess.

Usually in contests I wouldnt disqualify for a breach of the rules, just a penalization based on severity. It levels the playing field.

 

BTW DBru, how did you get your ride to act like it was nighttime (as far as the coloring the shadows went) without an environment? Because I tried enclosing my ride in the catwalks and the regular light still lights it up like a christmas tree.

^Hmm...did you add a floor? Make sure that all of the edges are perfectly aligned, or even overlapping (if you see light coming in through the corners).

Gotcha. Well it prolly wont work then since part of its enclosed and the other half not. Been awhile since Ive done anything like that in NL, so I couldnt remember if the engine would render that or not. I bet the whole thing has to be covered or it wont work period.

Yeah, if the enclosure must be colored completely black, and you could change the color of the track inside to black, as well, to give the illusion you're wanting.

Did you put on a outer layer of grey catwalks to hide the black ones inside?

lol its ok guys, ill fake it. Ill do some texturing handy work so long as I can support this thing. Going to be a pain...

lol @ wonder coaster. Its nothing special and the more I look at it the more Im "meh" but itll have to do. Maybe with more supports done. I hate showing rides without supports. Ive done it before but not so keen on it now a days.
