TYTL Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Compare these: http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=63221 http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=35635 Now tell me, how does that make sense?
DBru Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 ^The expansion packs suck, and therefore aren't worth anything.
mcjaco Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I wouldn't say they suck. I liked them. Opinions are like....well you know. Everyone has one. A more descriptive reason on why you think the expansion packs "suck" and "aren't worth anything" would be more helpful.
TYTL Posted May 25, 2009 Author Posted May 25, 2009 ^The expansion packs suck, and therefore aren't worth anything. Even if they did suck, the game and just Wacky Worlds is 29.99
Goliath513 Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 My biggest complaint about the expansion packs was that they didn't offer any real new rides. The "new" rides included in them were basically themed versions of existing coasters (for example, Surfing Coaster is a Standing Coaster with surfboards for trains). If they had new types of coasters like Intamin rocket coasters and new bigger flats like for example a Huss Frisbee, that would have made them much better. RCT3 fixed some of this with the addition of new flats and real coasters, but for us RCT2 players, we have resorted to the use of custom scenery and rides to build what the game and the expansion packs didn't give us, as well as what has been developed in the amusement world since after the expansion packs were released.
Montupoopc Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Although the rides in the expansions packs were quite the letdown, I really appreciated a lot of the scenery they included. The Asian scenery from Wacky Worlds and the Dark Ages scenery from Time Twisters were both great.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Gamespot rips you off, you can get the original RCT2 (by itself) at 5 and Below for only 5 bucks. I don't like WW and TT because I really can't do anything with them, and some of the scenery pieces are very "WTFish" in building mode.
Mochtroid Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 There is a limit to how much cs you can have, maximum is 5000. These games don't give you much in the way of good CS, it's all in a different art style too. THese expansions give you a lot of gigantic very situational CS as well. Besides, my favorite expansion pack will always be the UCES.
