robbalvey Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 Hey everyone! As always, we like to support the other websites that support TPR, so we would encourage everyone to check out the following updates over at MiceAge & MiceChat from their most recent newsletter I received: The Return to Flash Mountain Al causes a stir, or should we say a SPLASH, with the recent news that Splash Mountain's photo screeners may be out of a job. Why is that a big deal? Without a photo screener all sorts of things can "Flash" up on the public photo screens while naughty folks are splashing down chinquapin hill. Of course, there is more than just Splash news, read the Al update for more about what's on the way to the Disneyland Resort. Kevin Yee - Prey for diner Kevin Yee, our Walt Disney World expert, offers his thoughts on the new Vacation Club expansion at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, including photos and review of the new restaurant, Sanaa. Gumball Rally Do you love Disneyland? We challenge you to prove it. MiceChat is producing our 3rd annual Gumball Rally at the park that Walt built on May 30th. We give you one day to ride as many attractions as possible at the Disneyland Resort. But only one team will be victorious. This race has become the stuff of legend. And while you may not have what it takes to win, you are certain to have the time of your life trying. The MiceChat Gumball Rally is an extremely fun and creative way to experience the parks and the perfect excuse to break away for a day of fun with your friends and family. Andy Castro-Dateline Disneyland Andy Castro's Dateline Disneyland is a weekly photo and news report from the Disneyland resort. Find out about new shops, restaurants, attractions, and track the construction at Disney's California Adventure. No stone is unturned and every change is documents nearly as soon as it happens. All this and some of the most beautiful photos you've ever seen from a Disney theme park delivered hot and fresh every Monday morning. David Michael - In the parks David Michael's, In the Parks Theme Park Blog, comes to you every Friday, just in time for you to plan your weekend activities. Each week, David updates you on all the local, Southern California, goings on and entertainment offerings. Included are special noteworthy deals offered to locals and things off the beaten path for all to enjoy. David is famous for his insider info into the Disney and local theme parks and his love of ducks. Weekend Update If you haven't already discovered the MiceChat Weekend Update, you are in for a treat. Every Saturday, the Weekend Update crew takes its readers on a trip around the world to magical theme park and vacation adventures. Included in the past month were sights throughout Tokyo, Hong Kong, Paris, as well as the Disney parks in the United States. For fun, there were also visits to a chocolate factory, Las Vegas, toy museums, and even images from classic travel post cards. Best of all, you can come along on these mini vacations from the comfort of your own couch - BON VOYAGE!
Electerik Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 I think I actually started out on Alt.Disney.Disneyland before I migrated over to Rec.Roller-Coaster. I don't look at too many Disney-specific sites anymore, but I do like MiceAge. Thanks, Robb.
J man Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 While I'm not a member on MiceChat I do regularly read the articles on MiceAge. Al Lutz's articles are one of my favorite things about the site. It helps me get my Disney fix.
ghost007jas Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 I really enjoy the Dateline Disney feature, it's a great way to keep updated on the various construction projects around the resort. Thanks for posting these, Robb!
Sir Clinksalot Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Hey everybody, The Weekend Update for today features some vintage Knott's pictures. We had a hard time figuring out the era, so if any of you know, that'd be awesome. Here's the link: http://micechat.com/forums/blogs/weekend-update/1098-weekend-update-up-characters-sunken-gardens-knotts-history-singapore.html
