astroworldfan1 Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 I really want to know how long it's been sitting there. If you go to Bird's Eye view on LiveMaps it shows the monorail on its trailer. So it must have been there for about a year or so. -Tatum
sccoasterfan Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 My fiance says she knows it has been there since at least 2004. When she moved out there. It is pretty cool. The whole area is set up with disney type things hence the pluto pic on the side of the barn.

ebl Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Most of you probably already knew this, but two WDW Mark IV trains operated in Las Vegas for awhile in the mid-'90s when the line ran only between the MGM Grand and Bally's. I got to ride it one time there, but didn't take any pictures for some reason. Just before that line was expanded to its current length, the two old WDW trains were scrapped. I've seen pictures of at least one of them sitting in a junkyard all covered with graffiti. Eric
netdvn Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Woah what an amazing find! Even if it's considered "common knowledge" I had no idea somebody in Georgia was keeping one of the WDW monorails in storage. Last edit: Wow this was an original monorail too! Anyway, thanks for posting these.
BrownStreak Posted May 7, 2009 Posted May 7, 2009 I liked that style better than the current ones at WDW. All the doors popped open and then had to be shut manually- just fun to watch as a kid
