BelgianGuy Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 try putting the splashdown part of the ride on a hill where the first drop dives under in a tunnel, it'll make it more realistic, if you keep it how it is its fine for me because when you go down the first drop and another train gets by you're soaked
Stoksy Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 ^I tryed to do that but I just can't seem to get the synchronisation right, one train always goes through before the other. This is another I began working on yesterday, if you don't like it I'll get rid of it. SCR127.BMP Demon, a De ja vu style coaster. I'm not a huge fan of it myself.
Pufferfish Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I've never been a big fan of boomerangs on RCT2, but if you want to keep it, it's station and supports are very nicely done. Also, I was wondering if we could see some pictures of the woodie with the station building and the covering over the splash down. I was wanting to hold my opinion on it until I could actually see the final product.
Stoksy Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 ^Sure thing. Prairie Rider has just been completed this afternoon, with trees, coverings etc. SCR130.BMP Station platform. SCR129.BMP The undercover splashdown, unnecessary, but it looks nice, I think. SCR131.BMP MCBR undercover.
Pufferfish Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Much better. The station building is well done, and the covering over the splash down really helps that part out, makes it fit in better. Also, I'm glad you decided to change the colors on the loop. It stuck out like a sore thumb when it was green with brown rails. Overall, nicely done wooden coaster. It fits in well with the rest of the park.
Stoksy Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 ^Thankyou very much, I've never been very good with building woodies (excitement wise) but this one is one of my best, with supports it had 8.11 excitement and 8.54 intensity. Now for another update. This time Stoks Co. decided on something a bit different, yet well known. It is a B&M flying coaster with an inverted pretzel loop (I'm not sure if that's what it is called, it's shown in the picture though). What could it be... SCR134.BMP TEASER.
BelgianGuy Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 sorry but that isn't a pretzel loop, check over at my TPP thread and the last screens of RYU thats a pretzel loop, If you want I can make one for you
Reon Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I'd say an inverted pretzel loop is just a loop, but if you want to make it a pretzel, you'll have to remake the entry/exit as some sort of curved drops or something. Either way, great job so far. For the most part, your coasters look pretty nice, and I'd love to see some more terraining and non-coaster rides integrated into the park.
hydra Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 This park def. needs some terrain. Create some valleys and hills. Make a River or a lake. It helps to take up space as well as gives you some great thematic elements to use in your rides. The flying coaster needs some character. Something unique. At the moment it looks bland. I like the theming of the park overall. Just make sure it does not get monotonous.
Tbcoasterfan Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Yeah I'd definately retry that pretzel loop again
Stoksy Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 ^Well it wasn't really supposed to be a pretzel loop, to be honest I don't know what it was supposed to be. Also there is some more landscaping around the latest coaster, and the reason I don't show flat rides is that it is not much of an update, however I will try to incorporate some in the next one. BelgianGuy-Thanks, but first I'll try myself, then if it still doesn't work I'll probably ask you to do it. Thanks for offering though. Thanks for the comments guys, keep them coming.
Stoksy Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 Stoks Co. have decided to unveil their latest coaster early due to a small problem with money, I bring you The Hulk Coaster. The second most expensive coaster (After Ignition) and the second longest, this flying coaster is one of the best in the country. It has a small pretzel loop, four nail-biting inversions and ten amazing drops. Scenery has not yet been placed, however there was some landscaping around the area being done. On to the pictures, also included is the totally revamped pretzel loop. (hope you all like it). Remember to comment. SCR135.BMP The "new" pretzel loop, is it better. SCR136.BMP Overview of The Hulk Coaster, with landscaping. SCR138.BMP Ride station and stats. SCR137.BMP I leave you with a picture of the park's latest restaurant: Hulk's Home Bakery.
themeparkman25 Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I love how in RCT a 2.0 lat G is considered OK. I like the pretzel loop better for sure but the coaster doesn't spend much time in the typical B&M flying position (on yo' belly!) which I guess makes it unique yet unusual. Your trying and that is what counts, cant wait to see more.
Stoksy Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 Guys, get ready for a huge update tomorrow, to give you a taste of what's to come, here's a small teaser... Also, I found the hacking 8cars, so I'll post a download of it. SCR139.BMP What do you think. Hacking 8cars.zip This is the hacking 8cars in zip. format. Enjoy. Stoksy.
Tbcoasterfan Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 B&M flyer looks worlds better. Nice changes!
Stoksy Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 BelgianGuy - Very close, if you mean like BRTeller's El Diablo coaster. As promised, here is the big update... This is my first ever hacked coaster , Fireball, using GigaLooper trains this is the biggest addition to Excitement Point since Ignition, years ago. It is the largest coaster by over 100 metres and has a special barrel roll inversion element. The corkscrew coaster has also been named, due to lack of suggestions (not that that is a bad thing), Jaws: The Ride. Jaws has been themed and Fireball (If you can think of a better name please notify me, the position of the ride has to be the same though.) has been given supports and a station covering. Now on to the pictures... SCR148.BMP The entrance to "Steel Cove". Where steel coasters rule the world. SCR153.BMP Jaws: The Ride, with scenery. SCR141.BMP Fireball, hammerhead turn. SCR142.BMP The main part of the ride. SCR144.BMP The hacked area. SCR150.BMP Station and stats. SCR155.BMP Foliage overview. LOL. SCR156.BMP Park overview to finish the update. Comments are welcome.
Stoksy Posted April 18, 2009 Author Posted April 18, 2009 I've got an update ready to post tomorrow, however I would like at least one comment before I post, so get those comments in.
BelgianGuy Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I'd like to see some more landscaping around your rides and more foliage to fill some space
dmaxsba2408 Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I really like the way you supported the corkscrew. That looks really nice. What am I saying, the whole area around that coaster looks GREAT!
Stoksy Posted April 19, 2009 Author Posted April 19, 2009 Thanks guys for the comments, you have saved everyone from an update free day. Excitement Point has recieved funds for an exciting water park, at the moment it includes two rides, a water coaster and a splash boats ride. (I have tryed very hard to get the water coaster's building to not look blocky, hope you all like it.) Another coaster has also been installed, ride name suggestions are welcome, as the coaster is simply named Wing Rider at the moment. Remember to comment on what you like and dislike, if you guys can reach page six/seven then I will post a download of the finished first island. SCR157.BMP Water Park overview. SCR158.BMP A close up of the splash boats ride: Water Park Splashdown. SCR159.BMP Overview of the water coaster: Xtreme Atlantis. My best ever undercover ride, the only problem is that there is no scenery under the roofs. SCR160.BMP A close up of the big sign for Xtreme Atlantis. SCR162.BMP A more up to date overview of the Water Park. SCR164.BMP Might I suggest looking in the top left corner.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Not bad. I can tell you are trying very hard, and it's pretty nice so far. I would add a few photo sections if possible to some of the coasters. It helps add that element to the ride that makes it more fun. Just a suggestion. Nice job so far!
dmaxsba2408 Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 In one of your picture captions you mentioned that there is nothing in the water ride's building. Try replacing some of the tile roof sections with glass ones and put some theme items inside the building. That should take care of the empty building problem and with the glass you get to see it along with your peeps.
hydra Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I've got an update ready to post tomorrow, however I would like at least one comment before I post, so get those comments in. Are you serious? How about you build parks because you like to do so. Not to get praised. IF you want my opinion of your park. It is average at best. The rides are not well thought out. There is no terrain. Scenery is just thrown around, and the trees are extremly repetitive. I am not trying to be rude or mean, but since you are searching so hard for comments Im going to give you one. A honest one.
Stoksy Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 ^That's all I'm looking for, honest posts. Also I'm not trying to get praise, I just want another opinion of the park and I'm trying to get more ideas for what to build. I will look into the repetitiveness of the trees though.
