Although Kong was pretty rough in December, it really wasnt as bad as I thought, I even went for *gasp* re rides, I'm not sure if it was just a good day for it, or if the pain is actually tolerable, I find Revolution at sfmm worse.

That's just my opinion though

For a small-footprint ride, I think Kong is pretty good... but my ears! ouch! Just about everyone I saw had bright red ears after the ride... "EARaser"

I was there on Saturday and found the ops to be pretty slow, but the crowd was light so it wasn't too bad.

I was glad to see that a lot of the in-park advertising from last year is no longer up... maybe it is too early in the season. Last year it seemed like it could be "Six Flags: Spam Folder". Toyota vehicles parked up on a lawn near the tigers, Wall-E on the many trash cans, constant loud call-outs over the speakers. Bad enough that the food at the park is now a "Mall Food Court: Greatest Hits" collection at double the price.

But Medusa is probably the best coaster within 300 miles.

I have an upper ear piercing which might et banged. I've been on an SLC and Corkscrew at Playland with it before and I mostly was getting hit higher up on the side of my head. So I don't think Kong would be a problem. I've never hit it on any coaster before so should be fine.

How's the airtime on Roar though? V2?

How's the airtime on Roar though? V2?

Roar's not real big on airtime. It has a couple of brief moments of floating. If has lots of crossovers and some decent head choppers, along with a speedy and fun shed section and plenty of twists and turns. The first drop is great if you're in the back of the train. If you ride it hoping for airtime, you'll be disappointed. If you ride it and just enjoy the ride without any expectations then I think you should have fun on it.

V2 has hang time during the first and last trip up the angled front spike. How much hang time really depends on where you sit on the train, so try it in a few different seats if you can, or watch a few cycles and try to figure out which row you want to be in to get maximum hang time. The front spike makes for a pretty unique ride experience. There's a brief moment of floating on each trip up the vertical back spike. The launch and subsequent boosts, both forward and backward, through the station are really cool too. It's nothing earth shattering, but it is fun.

SFDK's rides aren't world record breaking, super intense, adrenaline junky focused attractions. They're just fun without being too intimidating. Personally, I think the rides they have are a good fit for the park.
