SluggoBear Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 So what's the scoop for Space Mountain in California? Is it going to open in time for the 50th Anniversary celebration? Re-tracked, new effects and everything?

I've also heard it's the exact same track layout, but with new theming. Does seem like there hasn't been too much officially announced on this, especially since it's re-opening this year. --robb

IMMENSE, its been closed for years and all we get is IMMENSE special effects? i wanted a totally different ride The track is the same layout, but it's all new track. It's not like they kept the old track and just added effects. The ENTIRE ride has been gutted and re-done.

socalMAN123 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 As I have heard from my friends at Disney, it will not open in December unless something strange happens or they don't go as fast as they planned. I can't wait to get my first credit on the "new" Space Mountain!
