Sasquatch Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 My latest creation started off as an Arrow (hence the initial turn out of the station), but smoothed out into a Vekoma! Download, comment, make a sandwich, enjoy! The pictures are all mirror images because my laptops screw'd up. No idea why. Bigfoot's Revenge.nltrack Wheeeeeee! thrillrideseeker Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Your coaster looks great, there were just a few things I noticed... - Try lowering your Acc. G-s in the station. Its a pretty sudden speed up. Its like 0-5in 0.01 seconds. -We hit a few trees every now and then. - Try removing the LIM's on your final break run! The good things were... - You have a great layout! - Your speed is consistent! - Its very well hidden in the trees! So other than a few minor things I would give this coaster a 9/10! Great job! ~Matthew
Sasquatch Posted December 22, 2008 Author Posted December 22, 2008 Hmmm i checked the layout a massive number of times and i could have sworn there were no tree hits, ill check again some time. The acceleration gs in the station are accurate to vekoma coasters that use friction wheels (such as their motorbike coasters), and arent that extreme! And i dont understand the last one! But thanks for downloading and such!
DBru Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Very nice coaster, as usual! I didn't see any tree hits, either. I'm thinking maybe Matt didn't ride the coaster in its track environment...? You did a great job making an original mine train, that didn't step 'too far' out of the Arrow/Morgan boundaries. The terrain was very well-used, and the small pops of airtime were really fun! Great work.
dr.gumbo Posted December 23, 2008 Posted December 23, 2008 Very good ride, certainly one of the better Mine trains I've seen. The good -Very smooth -Nice banking -Superb / Original layout -Great pacing -Nice representation of an Arrow / Vekoma Mine train The not so good -Perhaps a bit short for a Mine train. -IMO The second half doesn't live up to the exciting first half. My Verdict For a Mine train, this is top-noch stuff. 8/10
Sasquatch Posted December 28, 2008 Author Posted December 28, 2008 Thanks for the comments! Unfortunately i had to make the ending short, otherwise the train would valley if it was e-stopped at the block brake. I did experiment with different endings, but figured this was the best because the ride is short and punchy and a constant speed, making sure that the ride doesnt saunter back to the station at a snails pace (which is boring). I see what you mean though!
triggernel Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Something I would definitely make an attempt to ride at a local park, good stuff.
