USH to replace kong traam attraction with updated version?

i was looking up USH on wiki and i noticed this quote

King Kong Encounter: The 8th Wonder of the World (2009) The attraction that will replace the old burned down King Kong Encounter. It will be the same plot in the old King Kong attraction, only it will be based on the Peter Jackson's King Kong. This event will debut in 2009.

 

SO what are your thoughts?

Has anything official been annouced? Citing wikipedia isn't a very credible source unless there is a press release or news story to back it up.

I heard that they're updating the Kong attraction that got destroyed in the fire. Universal did make an announcement about that sometime back in August, but I'm not sure exactly when.

 

One thing that I'm still confused about is where did you hear about it opening in 2009?

^The only announcement made thus far was them confirming that "a new attraction will be built in its place."

 

They've started grading the backlot for reconstruction, so we'll probably see in the next few months if a show building is returning to the area.
