Ben Burnett Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Well, now that I'm settled in school I decided to restart my "Project: Oklahoma" park. I had real trouble working on it because it was so big. It was really just not working. So I decided to restart on a smaller pallet. Hershey has High Hopes for Oklahoma's Love of Chocolate (Hershey, PA) Hershey Entertainment is proud to present their newest project outside of Hershey, Pennsylvania. Called Hershey Mid America, this new theme park will occupy a 79 acre plot in the city of Claremore, Oklahoma approximately 30 miles northeast of Tulsa. 10 Miles off the Will Roger's Turnpike Hershey Mid America will offer such amenities as cheap parking, refund for Turnpike costs, and a boost of local economy. This steadily growing area will provide a perfect location for such a popular family park. Attracting tourists to the nearby city of Tulsa will help the city grow allowing it to provide it's citizen's with new luxuries such as the recently added BOK Center. We as a company will announce the several attractions the park will start with as they come. The only thing we can currently release is that the park will open with multiple roller coasters, thrill rides, and attractions for the whole family. It is a priority of Hershey to create a family atmosphere in our park. Our hope is to expand this park into nearby areas as it grows creating a similar result as its sister park in Pennsylvania. Hershey Entertainment is a publicly traded company based in Hershey, Pennsylvania. I am very excited about this park. Most of my extended family lives about 10 minutes from location in Oklahoma. I will only be able to show updates as my brother is able to provide me with pictures. I do though visit him frequently so some updates will come from my own ventures. This first update includes pictures that I got myself while I was visiting him last month. PS:All comments are appreciated. The main reason for posting is so you can help me improve at RCT3 while allowing you all to enjoy the park. As you can see, they have chosen a very small pallet in Northern Oklahoma. The overview of current construction. The Front Gate Area, they have really made this look nice with the addition of fountains. The premier car park, the park has yet to open so their are obviously no cars here. Hershey Mid America's Sign and Carousel.
gamerdave Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Looking good! Cant wait for more! Ill have to post one of my parks on here!
Ben Burnett Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Well, its been while a while since my brother sent me pics but I just got some today. They have a woodie built already and there are some pics of what looks to be a relocated flying turns. It seems as though they are going for a "look in the past" style for at least the front of the park. The Flying Turns Pieces. The Flying Turns Pieces. The Flying Turns Pieces. The Flying Turns Pieces. The Flying Turns pieces. It must be being relocated from somewhere. I thought most of them were destroyed... hmm The entrance. Coming in from the street. The next construction area. The Woodie. The Woodie. The Woodie. The unkown woodie and its station... it looks rather modern yet kinda older. I really like the colors.
AlmereStars Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 on the first pictures it looks like the carrousel is floating maybe it's better to give the top of the hill other groundtexture? like the brown rock texture? other then that not really much to see. ow and here's a hug for having such a bad graphic card! (look at the water)
Ben Burnett Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 Lol, don't make fun of my crappy graphics card. i should have an update later today. So comment and then I won't have to double post... I'll try to fix that floating carousel problem too.
KPWoCkAxX Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 It looks Ok, But I have to enquire, If there never was a Flying Turns then how can it be Re-loacated? Unless! It's being moved from another park...... Is that what you're trying to say? Another thing is the colours on the Woodie don't look right if you ask me..... You have real potential Ben, Just don't let it go to waste! Good luck, KP.
Ben Burnett Posted September 22, 2008 Author Posted September 22, 2008 ^Yeah, just ignore the relocating thing... I decided to just go ahead and make an original design. Well, the update today is getting delayed till tomorrow. I didn't get all that I wanted done and I am having a problem with the logo for the coasters.
KPWoCkAxX Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Well that makes more sense! Looking forward to your update tomorrow!
Ben Burnett Posted November 27, 2008 Author Posted November 27, 2008 Hey I posted a long post but it didn't work so it all got deleted. Anyway, I basically said that i am bringing this park back and might have an updat on Friday.

triggernel Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Well, it doesn't look like it has much of a skyline yet, but looking forward to todays update.
Thelegendarymatthew Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 ^Whats it with you and rushing people, stop it. It annoys me and many other RCT2 users. Rush=Parks that suck!. So be patient.
Ben Burnett Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 So, I was going to pick up where I left off but I didn't like some of the things from the past so I'm going to start at what was planned to be the 3rd season and make it the 1st. There has been a lot done to the park since I last posted, the current ride count goes as follows. Coasters - 3 Flying Turns Tumba-B&M mini hyper Shooting Star - CCI Woodie Thrill Rides- 2 Octopus Parachute Drop Gentle Rides - 2 The Sun - Ferris Wheel Carousel
Ben Burnett Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 comments really are appreciated just in case you guys forgot...
Thelegendarymatthew Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I would put custom supports on the B&M coaster, it looks pretty good from what I see. Can't wait until the next update. -Matthew.K
