What happened this morning....

One of the biggest trees in our local park, decided enough was enough, and came down during a rather nasty wind storm before noon today.

It fell down at the intersection of Commercial Drive and William Street, just two blocks away from where we live (on William).

It took down some bus lines and generally stopped thru traffic for most of the day. Since it happened much earlier today, I am assuming that most of it is now taken away, power restored to the bus lines, etc. I hope.

And it's pointing directly up our street! Photo take by a friend of ours, Harry G.

We have a Pizzeria a street over from us, which doesn't take reservations, and for now, is only handling Take Out/Food Courier Pickup or "Patio Dining" which is two tables in front of the place, lol. But for people picking up pizzas, we always have a few....uh.... unusual, different, or very $$$$ cars parking near our house. The other day we had a Mercedes Benz SPYDER parked illegally right beside a fire hydrant. Idiot.

Then, we got this one stopping by for a pizza fix yesterday. It's actually a pretty good paint job, when you look at the entire car ......van?

And ...... Rasta does rhyme with Pasta, doesn't it? (hee hee)

Today's photo comes from an "Unordered Gift" we received, on our front porch......

We did NOT order this pair of single bed mattresses! They just appeared over an hour ago.

I was at the back of the house, with the radio on, so I didn't hear any sound whatsoever.

We found a tag on one of them with the name of the company that sells them. But no delivery address anywhere.

We can't do anything until Monday, with the apparent company involved.

Ho ho ho.
