When I was at Cedar Point 3 days ago I rode Mantis and Millenium Force. Millenium Force was terrible. I hated the Crushing G's and ZERO airtime. Great first drop but after that...It's pure pain and torture. Just to intense to enjoy. Howeve, Mantis was amazing. The only reazon it is "rough" is because people ride it like a sit-down-on-a-bicycle-seat ride and not a stand up. Get your lazy butts out of the seat and youll actually appreciate that ride like your suppose to. I rode it both ways, in the back, and it was a great ride when you actually stand up.

I can't even begin to describe how much I disagree with that.

I agree that MF is well...underwhelming.

But Mantis - no matter how you ride (and Ive tried lots of various "positions") still shakes, rattles and vibrates more than a kitty in a paint can in a paint shaker! Its horrible!

Is the ride incredibly powerful? Oh heck yea. Is the track buttery smooth? Of course! Are the trains one some of the worst Ive ever been on? Without a doubt. Stick any other B&M train on that track and youd experience bliss. Well, maybe not any but a lot of them. Those standups just arent meant to handle the forces that ride dishes out.

I hear Mantis 1.2 (AKA Chang) rides way, way better as its a bit more stretched out. More fluid and not so compact.
