SonOfBeastSucks Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 It wasn't the best trip because I went with five people, two of which hate roller coasters. We arrived at the park LATE (little after noon) and the eight year old with me wanted to ride Whizzer so we all stood in the forty-five minuite line for the decent for what it is but otherwise boring ride. She liked it though so I GUESS that made it a little better. We then walked to Raging Bull and only my friend and I wanted to ride so the rest found a bench and sat there. The line was about half an hour (mayby less). The ride was decent as I remember it, but as far as hypers go, I prefer Magnum. The eight year old and her mom headed to the water park after that. After that, we walked over to S:UF. This was my first time riding it. I liked it quite a bit, but it was pretty short. The pretzel loop and barrel roll were the best parts of the ride. We then rode BTR (used fast passes on it). This was my first BTR in two years and I liked it a lot better than the last time I rode it, nice and forceful. My head did bang a few times though. We then walked across the path and rode V2. I wish it were taller and the begining launch faster. After this, everyone else in my party headed to the water park, so I was on my own. I rode Viper. The crew was fun and awesome, the best of the day. The ride was a little dissapointing though. I left my lapbar up very high but hardly got any airtime. I walked to the back of the park after that and rode Revolution. It was a fun ride but doesn't have anything on Delerium. I then rode American Eagle, which was racing. It was fun I guess but it was a little rough. After that, I walked to Deja'Vu. This was my first time riding a Vu. It was pretty good, I think I actualy prefer Face/Off though. Neither are very good. I then used a fastpass on Raging Bull and met my group. We rode Richochet, Hometown Fun Machine, Trailblazer and the pirate ship. All were nice way to get a breeze I guess. The eight year old wanted to play games after this. We played Whack-A-Mole. I won and received a stuffed animal Dalmation. It was 7:00 then and everyone wanted to leave. Overall, it was an okay day but I'm certainly looking foward to So Cal next week though.
benzo41190 Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 I then used a fastpass on Raging Viper and met my group Thats an interesting ride :o Looks like you had fun but where did you sit on viper? The best seat is 1:3. First car, third row. Also you might have had the new train which is a little slower than the old train. Also it looks like Raging Bull had three train operation (should be everyday). Hope you go back sometime.
SharkTums Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Yeah, I'm also wondering where you sat on Viper since I love that ride and thought it produced some really great airtime. I actually prefer front of the back car though for the double down! Elissa "we need more 'cyclone' clones like that one!" Alvey
Justin Adams Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Decent but otherwise boring ride?!? BLASPHEMY!! How DARE you impune the greatest coaster on the planet, THE WHIZZER! Seriously though, I love that ride. I wish PGA still had theirs. Stupid PGA... Sounds like you had a good time at least. I loved SFGAm when I was there, one of the best SF parks in the chain. I can't wait to go back sometime. Justin
SonOfBeastSucks Posted July 14, 2005 Author Posted July 14, 2005 I sat (on Viper) in the front of the last car. I don't think it was the new train because the lap bar and seatbelt were both pretty worn out. The Whizzer is good for what it is. I most likely would of liked it better if the line wasn't so long.
benzo41190 Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 I sat (on Viper) in the front of the last car that would explain it. The back isnt that fun. Since viper has small hills, you are better of in the front off the train. Also you want to sit on the back of the car, not the front
