DBru Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 The woodie is perfect for this park! I would like to apply for the Preview Ticket.
CloneCaptain38 Posted September 1, 2008 Posted September 1, 2008 That wooden coaster Timber Terror and the station makes the wooden coaster I just built for my park look like a carnival ride. Your wooden coaster might be a short ride, but I like the detail you put into it with the track layout and station, and the extra wood in certain places around the coaster. Very nice. I'll perhaps have to reengineer my wooden coaster in my new park, but I doubt I'll top yours, and your park. The park design and the maps you make are stunning. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to more updates, and please check out my park progress once inawhile. Later
89James89 Posted September 2, 2008 Author Posted September 2, 2008 Replies: Team Thriller: Thanks and I'm really glad you like the coaster and the park so much. I'm not sure why you cant use downloads on Vista I have Vista ultimate and I can download fine. Strange. DBru: Thanks and your application is noted. CloneCaptian38: Thanks and I'm sure your wooden coaster is just as good. I checked out your park for you and left you a comment and I'm sure it'll be a good as mine soon. 89James89 Posted September 2, 2008 Author Posted September 2, 2008 End of Season report Well this season has been the most successful yet what with the construction of the new rollercoaster bringing people in just to see how the progress is going. We hope however that the nexty season will ber a lot more busier and as such have decided to make the park one price instead of pay pr ride next year. Well this is what my Cousin sent me. Looks like next seasons additions are set to really change the park for the better and I cant wait. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen. (OOC: Well thats it for this update. I've decided to let the preview ticket requests continue till I've posted the off season update. Cheers 89James89)

89James89 Posted September 5, 2008 Author Posted September 5, 2008 Replies: Thelegendarymatthew: Thanks and why suprised? Preview day and first visit trip reports. Well I've just returned form the first full day visitng the park on full opening hours and it was great. I also got to go to the preview day but as the internet has been down for a bit where I live the update for the preview day has had to wait for now. Anyway onto the preivew day update. Well it was great fun being able to ride then reride the parks best ride by far and only serious rollercoaster was great. Heres the pcitures I got for you all. Firstly this is the new entrance to the area with Timber Terror. The queue entrance were gettign closer to the first ride now. Finally for all you lift hill enthusiasts. Going down the first drop this was actually quite intense. And back around. And finally the break run back into the station. The ride itslef was brilliant and I'm sure will help to get this park off its feet and into a more thrilling era but onto the second part of this update. First visit trip report. Well we couldnt make it for the opening day again this year but as I'd been tot he preview it wasn't a big deal. The first thing you notice when you arrive is the entrance buidling. Being quite small this was pretty busy at opening time as you can see. Movign into the park no changes to the mainstreet this season so I decided to have a look around and get some random photos for you all. Firstly the obligatory Rocky Falls photo. And the ever present ladybird with huge queues as usual photo. (Yes this park does have a lot of families). Lots of people over by the animals today. Most of the rest of the rides can be seen from here. Word has it that the reliablility of some of these rides is beginning to show though. Well hope you liked them both. The park will be open for the rest of the season so why not pop in and have a look. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen (OOC: There ya go the first trip report of seaosn 5. Next update will hopefully be after the trip report by the preview day ticket holder has been doen so the park file link can be realeased. Cheers 89James89)
DBru Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Some Fun at Uncle Fred's! As you all know, yesterday was the preview day for Timber Terror, the park's newest coaster. After winning a ticket to the event, I packed up my things, and headed Southwest for 3 hours to Uncle Fred's Fun Park! Upon my arrival (around 10:30), I presented my ticket and was allowed past the gates. But to my surprise, once inside, I was escorted by one of the park assistants escorted me back to the coaster! This was a very nice service, and it was great to see that manage really cared about guest experience. We had a talk about the park's (short) history, the new coaster, and their contact with Intamin. I found out that the new addition only cost the park £2.5 million, and that the park was really impressed with the company's work. I really hope we see more from them in the future! Approaching Timber Terror, we said our goodbyes, and I ran off like a 3-year-old into the queue I was shocked to see that no one else had arrived yet, and that I would have the first run to myself! I hopped in the front seat, pulled down my lapbar, and the train was off! The coasters lift is very loud, and really builds up anticipation as you approach the top. If you look to the side, you can see the whole park below you. This view was over soon though, because suddenly, I was cresting the lift! Timber Terror's first drop is fantastic; it was twisted, well-banked, steeply (enough) sloped, and had THE best head-chopper I had ever experienced! This is followed by a highly-banked turn, and several more twists, turns, and drops! After 28 laps on the coaster, I have come to a conclusion that it is the most fun woodie I have ever ridden. Though not very tall or fast, the coaster is smooth, has a great layout, and really packs a punch! Plus, it was very different from the other Intamin woodies. UFFP sure has got itself a winner! The rest of the park wasn't open, and I had to go to work in the morning, so it was time for me to head out. On my way out, I left a comment at Guest Relations, letting them know was a wonderful time a had, and how great the service really was. And in response to my positive feedback, they gave me a FREE general admission ticket, and requested that I come back to visit any time I had available! What an AWESOME way to end the day! Make sure to get out to this fun little park; you will NOT be disappointed! -Daniel
CloneCaptain38 Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 Your park is starting to take shape, and I like the Timber Terror sign and station, great construction. What is it that you have inside the ground on that pathway near Timber Terror, looks like supports inside the ground, what is all that about? Keep up the great work, it makes me want to visit. Tim
Thelegendarymatthew Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 ^^Major LOL for the fake TPR! Yeah, your pictures could probably make it into the RCT3 Photography hall of fame. I still love that woodie! GCI? Correct.
89James89 Posted September 5, 2008 Author Posted September 5, 2008 Umm no its a IntaminAG lol and also the price would have been in £ not $ as the park is in the UK. Cheers 89James89
89James89 Posted September 5, 2008 Author Posted September 5, 2008 Replies: DBru: Thanks so much for doing the trip report for me even though it dosent have pictures I still like it and am glad you did it. I think you got the conversion rate form $ - £ wrong though if it was originally $3m then that would be about £2m (probaly less) with conversion rates. I think it came to abotu £2.5m overall though. CloneCaptian38: Thanks. About the tracks if you mean a couple of updates back then it was pathing foundations. If you mean in the preivew update then the only ones that looked like supports in the ground would be the brakrun photo which would be the transfer track system. Thelegendarymatthew: Nope you were wrong with the coaster manufacturer its Intamin AG and a smaller version based on Elf. I also dont see what was wrong with his trip report I didnt demand photos. I said it would be preferable but he didnt have to and I'm happy with it. Season 5 mid season update (OOC: and aprk file realesed) Well we visited today for the second time this season and this time I made sure I got all of the stuff that I missed in the first couple of trip reports. Firstly heres the ticket prices for this season. Now going into the park some random photos starting with a shot of the mainstreet. This area is always pretty busy. (oh and yes it did rain all day long though not enough to close the rides) A picture of the main rides area with yes you guessed it Rocky Falls in the background. A shot from acroos the lake of Timber Terror descending the first drop. And finally this season map. Well thats all for now join me next time. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen (OOC: Well heres what you've been waitng for the download link. http://www.savefile.com/files/1768487 To extract just use any unzipping program (I use 7-zip its free and easy just yahoo or google it to get the rpogram). The billbaords are included so should work but if not you have the folder so just link them to it in the game as normal. I'd love for you to do trip reports but I'd prefer it if you could keep the photos to 3 each at maximum. Other than that enjoy and any problems pm me. Cheers 89James89)
89James89 Posted September 6, 2008 Author Posted September 6, 2008 Season 5 end of season trip report Well here we are and tiem for this season to come to a end with our last visit. I've decided to end the trip reports this year with a small coaster technicals speacil but lets get some normal photos out of the way first. Ladybird looking good as usual. So is the Cage. Now onto the coaster shots. Firstly the station and train shot. Then a look at the maintenance buildings and yes I do have permission to be back here. And the last photo of this operating season the transfer track. There you go hope you enjoyed the photos this year and I hope some of you visited the park. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen (OOC: There ya go and I've decidied to let you do any trip reports you may want to (still try to keep the pciture count down in them) till season 7. Cheers 89James89)
89James89 Posted September 6, 2008 Author Posted September 6, 2008 End of Season Report. Well as you could ahve guessed this was the aprks best season yet with the visitor count doubling thanks to Timber Terror. The next season things are still going to go ahead at full pace and my Cousin said that it'll be full of excitment and grub but wouldnt tell me anymore. I cant wait after this seasons additions and really think this park is goign form strength to strength. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen. (OOC: There ya go specualte away as to the next seasons additions. Cheers 89James89)
89James89 Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 Replies: upside down: Thanks Season 5 off season update. Well we visited my Cousin around christmas this time and the park seems to be in full swing with construction. The area around Timber Terror is the focal area for this with amssive foundations signifying something big. These are the photos I got for you, firstly of the cranes you see as you enter the park. Moving closer you can see lots of foundations as these two pictures show. Well thats all the expansion looks like its going to be really cool but we'll have to wait to see what it is. Till next time. Jeremy Pelen. (OOC: There ya go massive foundations. Cheers 89James89)
