MASH80554077 Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 I am going to Cedar Point in August on a Sunday and a Monday on the 17th and 18th I am staying on an onsite hotel so I get the extra hour. I think I have a plan but im not sure it'll work. Could I have feedback form CP veterans? Im going to hit Maverick during the first days extra hour and then rush to TTD to get in line before the General Public. I then would ride that and work my way around the park. On day 2 I am planning on doing MF during the extra hour and then going to wildcat since it has terrible capacity. I would then just work around the park doing what I couldnt do the first day and redo the stuff I liked....obviously. Will I be Able to do all the rides in the 2 days, excluding jr. Gemini. What will have the biggest lines and which ones never have lines. Also how early should i get to the park so that I can get in as soon as park guests can? When will a line begin to form outside the gate? Thanks for any help!
Erik Johnson Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 It really does help that you are staying onsite for the extra hour of early entry into CP. Your plan sounds pretty good so far and you will have enough time to hit everything within 2 days. As for early entry, do make sure you get there about 20 minutes early as quite a few people do line up at the side gate. They actually run Wildcat really well, I do not think I waited more than 10 minutes in line for it, even though the park was very busy. I would probably hit M. Force first on the 2nd day, then head on over to Raptor (Since they run it as well for early entry). I am sure there are other members out there that would give better advice, but that is what I would do.
Canobie Coaster Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 Never been there, but just make sure you utilize whatever entrance is closest to the major ride you head for. Honestly, you probably should hit Top Thrill Dragster first if it's open during that hour because of its downtime history.
Carnage Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 ^ TTD is not on early entry. Although it would be a good idea to head over there after early entry ends.
MASH80554077 Posted July 8, 2008 Author Posted July 8, 2008 Thanks for the help. From personal experiene it has always seemed wild-mouse like coasters have terrible capacity. Im glad to hear I can get everything in in 2 days. Just out of cuiosity how long will the average wait be for a coaster. Will it be like 2 hours for everything. Alot of the TR make it seem like it and I really dont want to wait in lines THAT huge for 2 whole days.

Maverick pretty much had a 90 minute wait the entire day, though it is less at opening and closing. Top Thrill's wait was around 45 minutes. I found that most of the larger coasters was around 30-45 minutes. With 2 days you will have a great time at the park and be able to hit everything you want.
larrygator Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 ^wait times vary by day. I went the Sunday directly after the MidWest trip ended. By noon line were long: TTD and MF were 2 hours, Maverick was 90 minutes, Magnum was even 30-45 minutes.
traincrossin Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 I didn't want to start a new topic, so I thought posting here would be ok. I'm also going to Cedar Point on either that Sunday or Monday and i'm not sure if we'll be staying at an on-site hotel to get in early. I really don't know what is possible to do in 1 day. Can someone give me a plan of action so I can hit up as many of the major rides as possible?
