sccoasterfan Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I am not posting spam. I am 18 and me and my friend havent been to orlando in years. We do not know anyone down there or anywhere that is cheap. I am a tpr member and looking for a cheap tickets to the parks. We will be arriving on the 8th and leaving on the 11th. Ime. I really want to go but need to get everything finalized. We already have passes to go to the park and passes to skip lines at haunt. So we need some help finding some tickets plz.
mcjaco Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Although we're a community, I don't think you're going to find too many people to just open their doors for you to crash at. Start doing searches for hotels in the area. Oh yes, I deleted your post in the Random, Random, Random Forum. There's no need to ask the same question ten different places.
sccoasterfan Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 I was not asking for a place to stay. I meant by this post to see if anyone knew how to get discounted tickets to disney or universal. And maybe some cheap hotels in area. Ok well hotels is taken care of. But I still need to find some tickets to univeral and disney and maybe sea world for cheap. Does anyone have any information? I have tickets to Universal haunt but need daytime tickets and also tickets to other places. I am bringing a friend who has never ever been to a single thme park. So I want to show him a good time.
mcjaco Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Well sure, if you edit your post...... Hit up the Disney and Universal fansites. They typically have links to places that "discount" the tickets. They're never marked down very much though.
sccoasterfan Posted June 27, 2008 Author Posted June 27, 2008 I have purchased tickets for the whole week of october 5th through the 13th for universal for only 89 dollars apiece. Now is there any other way to get free disney one day tickets. I would love to take him to magic kingdom. Is there a timeshare thing we can see or anything.
BarryH Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 The only 1-day ticket discounts I've seen for Disney is through AAA. Even then, it's usually only a few dollars less than the gate. The best way to get a discounted Disney ticket is to buy a Magic Your Way pass (or what I still call the "Parkhopper pass"). I believe the longest MYW pass is 14 days. The more days you buy, the cheaper the pass tends to be. The price does go up if you add the non-expiring option or waterparks. You can do a timeshare to get the Disney tickets for free or at a low price, but be careful. Most of the time, the timeshare presentation require a few hours of your time in the morning to see it. The best time to visit the parks are in the mornings to ride the attractions with a short wait. Also, be prepared for a high-pressure sales presentation. Be prepared to say "no, thank you" a lot. I think that some timeshare presentations require you to be of a certain age (like over 30), be married, or have a certain income level.
Carnage Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 I think that some timeshare presentations require you to be of a certain age (like over 30), be married, or have a certain income level. That's what I'd guess as well. What timeshare is going to let in an 18 year old kid? They're not stupid, and they would know you're just there for the free tickets.

The hotel we are staying at is letting my boyfriend Brian do it. He is 25 years old. They said they will sign him up for one.
BarryH Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 ^Let us know how the timeshare thing went. I'm always curious about what the timeshares do to make you buy.
piers Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I have purchased tickets for the whole week of october 5th through the 13th for universal for only 89 dollars apiece. I hope you realise that HHn is a seperately ticketed event and not included in your week ticket? HHN tickets are $69.99 this year, although, some discounts are available, usually with Coke cans or Burger King I think. The HHN Express ticket is $39.99 on the 5th and 9th and $69.99 on the 10th and 11th, this is on top of your regular admission. I would strongly recomend it though, last year some of the lines where nearly three hours!!
Scaparri Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 ^Let us know how the timeshare thing went. I'm always curious about what the timeshares do to make you buy. A few years ago, my mom and I were offered extra timeshare points by a friend, so we took a spontaneous trip to Kissimmee. However, because we were still classified as "guests" and we wanted to buy discounted Universal tickets, we were required to take a tour of the resort. First, a few guides took us on a tour via golf cart through the entire resort and showed us all the different kinds of condos they have available. Afterwards, they took us back to their main office and sat us down with a sales representative who gave her best effort to get us to buy a timeshare with the resort. She initially tried to sucker us into signing an agreement by making it sound like it was just some sort of document stating that we had completed our tour. We caught the scam though, and she then began to drastically lower the annual membership price (by well over 50%) before finally giving up and letting us go purchase our tickets. The key was just to repeatedly tell her "no, thanks." When all was said in done, the process had taken nearly three hours.

I got them through a friend at Hard Rock Park who will be working the event.
